  I did the Otavalo market day tour from Quito with Irene as my guide and it was an incredible experience! We stopped to try bizcochos at a local restaurant, saw peguche waterfall, visited lake San Pablo, heard indigenous music and finally stopped at otavalo market. Irene was very helpful with giving us advice and information about her country which made the day run smoothly. I recommend Irene and this tour if you are looking to experience all that this area has to offer and only want to spend one day here. The tour did run a bit late, so be prepared to spend your entire day exploring!

  Irene was a fantastic tour guide and John a great driver. Lots of fun at market and sampling biscotti, seeing waterfalls, and buying beautiful roses for 25 cents each. Not to miss tour. Saturdays is best.

  Jessica was great! We thoroughly enjoyed the visit to the market, as well as the waterfall and the family run bizcocho place, it was very interesting!

  What a wonderful tour! It was so much more than I expect. Diana is an amazing and knowledgeable guide, she shared so much that really showed her connection to her culture. The breakfast stop was very welcome, as we had an early start and many had not eaten. And the agave and bizcochos info was so interesting. It was fun to know we stopped exactly on the Equator, 0', 0", 0"'! The local indigenous information and demonstration from Christine was a very special treat. The music stop was really good, I loved the family playing a tune at the end! The waterfall was very misty and wet! And the Market, although pouring with rain, was entertaining, almost everyone bought an item to remember our fun day! Thanks to James for the drive, I felt very safe at all times, which is not something I share lightly.

  Thanks to Diana for today. It has been an incredible tour; its explanations were clear and very enriching, and thanks to it we knew much more about indigenous and Ecuadorian culture. I highly recommend it. Thanks also to our driver, Jimmy.

  I'm not usually one for tours, but as it was my first day in the country and also Saturday market day in Otavalo I decided to ease myself into Ecuador by signing up for this tour, and I'm very glad that I did. Irene the guide was absolutely fantastic, with lots of useful information about all things Ecuador. She helped to answer a lot of my questions about the country, helped me to plan the rest of my trip and was absolutely spot on with her local food recommendations. The tour had some interesting stops along the way to the market, and the market itself didn't disappoint - on Saturdays the market extends for blocks and blocks in many directions. I generally don't even like shopping that much but bought some beautiful scarves for a very reasonable price (don't be afraid to bargain). The guide Irene helped make this a perfect first day in the country, I'm very happy I booked this tour.
