This tour is a fantastic and efficient way to explore Ouchijuku in a private vehicle accompanied by a government-licensed and
experienced multilingual guide! You will meet your guide near Aizu-Wakamtsu Station and go to the Ouchijuku area by a private vehicle.

This small village of picturesque thatched-roof houses hidden among forested mountains in Fukushima Prefecture is so perfectly preserved you'll feel like you traveled back in time to the period of samurai.

Your will meet your guide at Aizu-Walamatsu Station and go to Ouchijuku by a private vehicle. It takes about 1 hour from Aizu-Wakamatsu to Ouchijuku area.
Ouchijuku Machinami Museum
The “Ouchi-juku Machinami Tenjikan,” which renovated the honjin (inn for government officials) from the inn town period and displaying historical materials. When you enter the building, there is a lit hearth on the floor with smoke floating into the ceiling, and many precious daily goods used during the Edo period are on display. It is a popular facility since you can experience the livelihood of the Edo period. It’s the perfect place to learn about the old way of living in Japan.
