5.00The tour was an incredible experience and something I’d recommend doing at least once in your life. The guides were great, always making sure everyone was keeping up and taking frequent breaks so nobody felt left behind. Our group was very social and nice, I was with my partner but I’d totally do it as a solo traveler. When we arrived at base camp the weather was very bad with almost zero visibility, so the guides decided to switch plans and do the Fuego hike in the morning instead of the Acatenango summit. It ended up being an amazing decision, seeing Volcán de Fuego erupting up close at sunrise was unforgettable. A few tips: bring extra warm clothes because it gets freezing at the top and very windy on Fuego. The campsite is quite rudimentary and the sleeping bags aren’t very warm, so you’ll probably sleep with your clothes on. Also bring wipes for the bathroom and expect to get very dusty. Overall, a tough hike but an absolutely incredible experience.

5.00I highly recommend the Brothers Expeditions agency to tour the Acatenango Volcano. They have very good organization, good service, excellent rate and a very nice basecamp. I especially want to thank the guides Brenda, Walter, Diego, Angel and Melvin, because they are certainly professional people in what they do, very attentive, patient and transmit a lot of motivation to achieve the ascent and descent. Postscript: I hope Miss Brenda forgives me for throwing up on the ascent, haha. Attentively Rogelio Mendoza from Mexico.

5.00I went as a solo traveler on March 2026 and my experience was great with Brothers expeditions. They were all great and kind, specifically Diego, Walter (Chè), and Brenda, and Melvin. They were extremely helpful and friendly and if I had any questions or concerns, they made sure to explain them to me. Overall they made my experience amazing and I am glad I chose this agency to hike the Volcano Acatenango and Fuego!
