Why not combine our two most popular tours into one? See the sights of the historic port city of Halifax and then take in the famous breathtaking sights of Peggy's Cove.
Our tour would commence from Pier 21 with its Historic block as the "Ellis Island" of Canada, where more than one million immigrants came through and more than 500,000 left from during WWII.
From there we will visit St. Paul's Church, the oldest Anglican church in Canada. As well, St. Paul's Church was among some of the buildings that withstood the Great Halifax Explosion of 1917. We will drive on to Fort Needham Hill where a memorial carillon was built for the victims of that explosion. Then we'll be on to Canada's most famous lighthouse.
Peggy's Cove is one of the most unique, captivating and exhilarating eye-openers in Nova Scotia. The quaint seaside hamlets of Shad Bay, Big Lake, East Dover and West Dover, to mention but a few, are also breathtaking.

Our tour guide (Jonathan) was knowledgeable and amusing. He had a 6-person group ranging in ages of late 20's to 70's and he kept everyone laughing and engaged throughout the day. His overall knowledge of the area and culture, and especially of the Titanic during our stop at the Fairview Lawn Cemetery was (for my husband and I) the most interesting, educational and emotionally touching part of the day. Peggy's Cove was breathtaking beautiful. I wish we had some additional time to enjoy the scenery, but due to arrival/departure changes with the cruise line and 2 of our fellow tour companions not being on time for the tour we had to shorten this stop.

Jonathon did an excellent job giving us history and showing us Halifax and Peggy’s Cove. Had a smaller group so it felt very personal. We would do this again. Great value! Pick up and drop off was at the port!

Jonathan was very curt and rude. He would pick on individuals in front of the entire group. He even tried to leave us stranded at Peggy’s Cove and started driving away early when we were walking to the shuttle. That is very unprofessional. He also rushed our Peggy’s Cove excursion but took an extra stop at a restaurant for an hour. The stops besides Peggy’s Cove had plenty of time. I’d recommend this excursion but wouldn’t recommend Jonathan as the tour guide unless you want someone to talk non stop for 6 hours and yell at you if you talked at all.
