It is the first British Settlement in Malaysia and it flourished and thrived to became the busiest port in the region then. Penang is best known as a melting port for many ethnic groups with the most prominent trade was spices; which the early European paid dearly for these "green gold". 5.00We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Our driver Mr Azmel was so knowledgeable and we learnt so much. Our tour of the Batik Factory and sales outlet was well worth it. Our favourite was the Butterfly Farm - such a beautiful experience.

4.00The overall experience was good. The downside was it was difficult walking the trail. Be prepared for high humidity. Has a jungle feel for me. Worth the effort.

5.00Great and personalized experience with our guide, who pick up us at the crusade ship harbour , very fluent in english and a good knowledge about the region and people in the area. She showed us also some extra highlights, we realized, that she is quite proud of her country.

5.00Great exploration of the Island with wide ranging activities and local knowledge. Very flexible on timing so we could explore at our own pace. Everyone enjoyed the Butterfly Garden, Fruit Sampling and the Spice Garden was very interesting to explore. Comfortable tour from knowledgeable local host. Family of 4 Australians w/2 teenage kids.

2.00The guide wasn't a guide, just a driver. Sorry, we have not received any information about the island, city, culture,... The booked program also did not fit with the plan of the "guide". He did not want to approach two points of the program. Value for money does not fit. With this experience, next time we would take a grave and drive to the points described in the program, pay the entrance fee ourselves and then we would have saved a lot of money.

3.00Disappointing visit. If the route is well indicated, the plan is well done, the garden lacks maintenance and information for beginners. Not many haunts in the paths, the vegetation is mixed, it is very difficult to spot the species. The route is short. Little or no spices. Overall disappointing Jean Pierre
