Dominica is the only country in the world where the sperm whale resides all year long. Just a short boat ride brings you into contact with the world's largest toothed animal in the calm turquoise Caribbean Sea.
Whale watching operators follow strict codes of conduct, minimizing any disturbance, and never “luring” the whales. On the rare occasion when the whales may be elusive, you’re sure to see the acrobatics of hundreds of Spotted and Spinner Dolphins. Also Humpbacks Whales,Pilot Whales and other whales have been seen during our Cruises.

Departures: Daily at 9.30am and 1.30pm We also speak German and are back at your Cruiseship on time.
Our Boat
With our 24ft open keel boat, 2x 60Hp 4 stroke silent engines, we can come close to the whales without disturbing them. Our boat is designed for small groups and families with a max of 8 guests.

Join us on our brand new Boat from PH Whale Watch Dominica and watch the Sperm whales and Dolphins. A local Guide will give you all information. It gives you also a great view of the island when going north with our boat. This is a Government Approved Tour (safe in Nature), so you are also able to do this tour when you come in by Cruise Ship. We only pick up from the cruise ships in Roseau. All other guests we meet at the meeting Pont, the ferry Terminal in Roseau. We do not pickup from hotels or any other locations! Its only whale Watching. Its not allowed to swim with the whales.

Spectacular whale watching with the Speed Boat

5.00Contacting Britney in advance was already very friendly. Very tried and friendly guides (one of them was Britney). It took some time to see whales - but it was beautiful. The boat tour is also a lot of fun, but is not recommended for people with back problems.

5.00Amazing experience from start to finish! The crew from the Sanae boat so obviously cared about marine life. Luckily, we were able to see sperm whales the day we went. Even if you don’t, you will enjoy the ride and the beauty of where the Caribbean meets the Atlantic. This was our family of 4 favorite experience of our lovely Dominica visit.

4.00Enjoyed our morning with Seli and Bridget. Whale watching boats coordinate when they see whales and we were lucky enough to see at least 4 sperm whales, 2 with young whales with them. We parked up beside the river in Roseau which was just over 10 minutes away and meant we did not need to negotiate streets and cruise ship traffic in town. If self driving, leave extra time to get into Roseau in the morning. There are WCs in the ferry port but you will need to ask where they are as they are not obvious from outside.
