Every holiday we try to do something special or different. And this holiday really succeeded with the experience at the Lefkada Micro Farm. Full of passion and passion, Andreas told us his story and showed us what he has on his land. After the tour we started with the Filo dough workshop. Again, passion and drive surfaced, as well as fun and humour. There were only two of us, so we really got private lessons. This allows us to spend a lot of time and attention on everything. And the end result.....delicious! We enjoyed everything! Our advice....are you on Lefkada, be sure to undertake an activity at Lefkada Micro Farm.

We really enjoyed this experience as well as the wonderful tour of the farm and all the information provided about the history and the trees and produce grown. We had a taste of the award winning olive oil also. The phyllo pie baking class was terrific. I have always wanted to learn and Andreas was a great teacher. The steps were explained well and easy to follow. The end products we got to eat were delicious. Highly recommend.

Andreas ensures all participants leave knowing how to make ohyllo. He also ensures you learn the basics of Greek cooking. You enjoy the fruits of your labor for dinner. An excellent way to spend an evening. Andreas himself is quite personable and provides enjoyable conversation and company. We will definitely do another excursion at lefkada microfarm when we return next year. Traveling with spouse, 14 and 12 year old. Kids loved making phyllo so much, we made the same pies when we returned home to NY.

Great choice for a relaxed, educational activity that also, and more importantly, serves your senses! See, touch, smell all different kind of herbs. Pick the ingredients from the garden as you learn about eco friendly farming. Listen the sounds of nature but the highlight is taste the 3-4 different type of pies that you just learnt how to make! Savory pies with feta cheese and mix of greens, pumpkin and baklava pie. Andreas is a great host and the approximate 4hrs for this event pass quickly.

  • The Must-Do Bucket List Experience in Lefkada – A Taste of Greece You’ll Never Forget!

If you do one thing in Lefkada, make it the Micro Farm Cooking Class with the legendary Andreas. This isn’t just a cooking class – it’s part masterclass, part comedy show, part olive oil enlightenment, and entirely unforgettable. Set on a charming micro farm (that Andreas runs entirely by himself – superhero cape not included), you'll learn about native olive trees, why cold-pressed oil is liquid gold, and just how ridiculously easy it is to make phyllo pastry. (Who knew? I’ve been avoiding it for years. Never again!) Andreas is a born educator with charisma, curiosity, and a sprinkle of cheeky humour. You’ll laugh, learn, and eat like a local. His mum also joins in – she’s basically the Greek grandmother you always wanted, guiding your cooking with surgical precision and warm encouragement. The whole experience is relaxed, hands-on, and deeply rewarding. Oh, and yes – everything we made was delicious. I left with a full belly, a bottle of his divine olive oil (non-negotiable and recommended), and a burning desire to return. Don’t hesitate. Book it. Taste it. Love it. You’ll be telling everyone you know about “that magical Greek farm with the filo and the funny guy.” Five stars aren’t enough.

A person in our group booked the phyllo class and it was a horrible experience. We could not cancel the class due to a timing and distance issue, and when we tried to make it anyways, our taxi could not find the place. Then the owner comes to meet the taxi and tells us class is canceled. Thanks but no thanks.

Andreas is a warm and kind soul with so much knowledge and experience when it comes to small scale responsible polyculture farming. He is humble, describing his continuing journey of learning without end - meaning there is always so much more to learn. Nature is honing his already considerable knowledge through endless cycles of trial and error, using traditional knowledge, modern science and his own senses as guides in which to measure success. Andreas seems to have little to no interest in expanding, choosing rather to devote all his energy in the pursuit of personal tranquillity, sustainability whilst striving to achieve the highest quality. He wants his produce to cater primarily for his own consumption and his methods and farm to act as inspiration for improved sustainable small scale polyculture farming. Real food, home and the company of friends and family . And the fact that he loves to inspire others to do the same is a blessing for us guest cause he really hasn’t got the time. Farming is 24/7 job.
