Get to discover the magical volcanic rain forest landscapes of southwest Mauritius on an 7-8 hours guided tour.
Highlights include the Trou Aux Cerfs which is the famous dormant volcano to enjoy a 360 degrees view of the island from its high altitude.
Then you will head up to Mare Aux Vacoas, a reservoir. Embedded deep in the forest.
Visit the Grand Bassin (Ganga – Talao) which is the sacred lake of Mauritius. Let yourself yourself be blown away by the numerous sacred temples and statues.
Next the forest road to Black River Gorges and Alexandra Viewpoint to snap some social media-worthy pictures.
After a few minutes of driving, we will go through the village of Chamarel to savor a Mauritian lunch at a local restaurant.
After Lunch we will visit the chamarel waterfall and the 7 coloured earth followed by the Chamarel Viewpoint.Next will be Maconde viewpoint you will be able to admire a breathtaking coastalview from the top of the viewpoint. Your tour ends with return transport to hotel

5.00This is a very good tour but it is a long day. There was only myself and my wife (I get very annoyed when marriage is excluded from available options as a successful long marriage is an achievement whereas couple partnerships do not rate as highly due to lack of commitment. Please take note Viator) Anyway, back to the tour. Our driver/guide Redesh was knowledgeable and a good driver. He also adapted the day to suit us. We saw a lot, had heaps of laughs and lunch was good without being a protracted time wasting affair. The tour was good value for money and we can thoroughly recommend it.

4.00The best stops i this tour are the Ganga Talao Temple, the Chamarel Waterfall and the Chamarel seven-colored earth (including the large turtles). Most of the other stops are just viewing points with not very impressive views.

4.00Nice tour! The local tour operator (Paradise in your palm tours) were great! Serviceminded, quick to respond, etc. Grand Bassin and the seven colored earth were the highlights along with the stunning nature everywhere! The lunch was nice and we even made time to visit the chamarel rhum house!

5.00If you want to visit with a local guide while avoiding being in the crowd of tourists, I recommend Harish Hurbunsee @yahoo.fr. Not only is it inexhaustible on the history of the island , on the daily life of Mauritians, of great availability , listening to you, and what does not spoil anything, it transports you safely .

4.00Very nice trip with a lot of interesting and beautiful stops. Especially liked the seven coloured earth and Grand Bassin. Very good service from tour operator Paradise in your palm tours. We booked the tour late afternoon the day before the tour as another tour operator had cancelled our pre-booked trip. We immediately got a confirmation and personal service. The driver was also very nice and walked the extra mile for us.

1.00Attention this is a taxi Service but not at all a guide. Our driver gave us no explanation about the area and did not know how to answer our questions. He was very nice but it did not correspond at all to what we expected. He stayed in the car during the site visits while other guides from other companies were with their customers and gave explanations about the sites visited. This experience did not meet our expectations at all

5.00We had a fantastic guided day trip exploring the south of Mauritius with Zaheer. He was incredibly polite, courteous, and caring throughout the day, and his deep knowledge of the island made every stop so much more meaningful. From the breathtaking waterfalls to the serene sacred lake and its beautiful temples, each site was fascinating — and Zaheer’s explanations really brought the history and culture to life. Even though it rained for part of the day, his positive attitude made sure the experience stayed enjoyable. Lunch was another highlight — a delicious fish and aubergine curry that gave us a real taste of local Mauritian cuisine. Overall, it was a memorable day, made special by a wonderful guide. Highly recommend this tour and Zaheer to anyone visiting Mauritius!
