Get to discover the magical volcanic rain forest landscapes of southwest Mauritius on an 7-8 hours guided tour.
Highlights include the Trou Aux Cerfs which is the famous dormant volcano to enjoy a 360 degrees view of the island from its high altitude.
Then you will head up to Mare Aux Vacoas, a reservoir. Embedded deep in the forest.
Visit the Grand Bassin (Ganga – Talao) which is the sacred lake of Mauritius. Let yourself yourself be blown away by the numerous sacred temples and statues.
Next the forest road to Black River Gorges and Alexandra Viewpoint to snap some social media-worthy pictures.
After a few minutes of driving, we will go through the village of Chamarel to savor a Mauritian lunch at a local restaurant.
After Lunch we will visit the chamarel waterfall and the 7 coloured earth followed by the Chamarel Viewpoint.Next will be Maconde viewpoint you will be able to admire a breathtaking coastalview from the top of the viewpoint. Your tour ends with return transport to hotel

3.00Nitesh (our driver) was friendly & rang to advise he would be 5 minutes late. However, he was definitely not a guide. At every attraction, except the statues at the temple, he told us he would wait in the car while we explored by ourselves. This was particularly disappointing as we didn’t have the internet to read about what we were seeing either. Wet weather did affect us, but we still visited all sites, which was good. Lunch was good. Vehicle was clean & comfortable. Water was provided.
Good outing but nothing spectacular.

1.00Driver never picked us up from port terminal as he said he was. Gave specifically telling him where to meet us outside of the terminal where you pick up baggage. Never showed nor did he answer phone that another tour guide made to him, twice. We were to be picked up at 9 and we did make it off the ship by 7:45 and the elderly couple that we were traveling with were 7:15 in the blazing sun until 9:34 and never came. He texted at 10:34 saying he was there. So I don’t know where he was.
