5.00A fantastic tour through the beautiful city with many details and historical backgrounds. The tasting was excellent, the products were very, very good. Great guide, highly recommend. By the way, we received top-notch restaurant recommendations from Jan, all of which were a dream.

5.00This tour was absolutely delightful! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable (and passionate!) about Piran. We were able to learn about the history of the town while taking in the sites. The tour included a tasting which was absolutely wonderful. We got to sample 11 different olive oils, various truffles, meat, as well as wine. The tasting was done at an adorable shop right in the heart of Piran. The best part was we were able to come back the next day and purchase our favorite products! I cannot recommend this tour enough if you visiting Piran!

5.00The Taste of Piran tour was amazing - it gave a brilliant overview of the towns history and main sites, walking through the gorgeous tiny streets. The wine and food tasting afterwards was a lovely insight into some local businesses and culture - the black truffle and olive paste and the goats cheese were my favourite! Jan was a brilliant tour guide, super friendly and insightful and gave some great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. We tried out his dinner recommendation of Ivo after the tour which was excellent and would definitely go again! We though the tour was definitely great value for money and would recommend to anyone wanting an insight into Piran!!

5.00Thoroughly enjoyed the walking part and listening to our guides stories. The wine, olive oil and truffle tasting was very informative and our guide made it fun. I’d highly recommend this tour and it’s great value for money.

3.00We have done many food walking tours in many countries and sadly this was the most disappointing. If you are wanting many stops with local food tastings then this is NOT the tour for you. To be fair to Jan, he did tell us this at the start of the tour, but it was not what we thought we had booked. Basically it's a walk around the town which was nice and Jan's knowledge is excellent, but it is only at the end that we went to just one shop where we had to stand & wait in turn to try a cube of bread dipped in various flavours of olive oil, had 2 glasses of wine and finally some cured meats and morcel of cheese. It was very long and drawn out and hot and uncomfortable & we felt it was overpriced compared to other tours we've done. We read a review that said come hungry... Our advice would be to eat first as this is as it says just a TASTING.

5.00The tour is just as described great food, good details on history of Piran, and Jan is very engaging and interactive. We had a great time, but come with and empty stomach and enjoy. We have been on a lot of food tours in many countries and this was 1 of the best.

5.00Jan is probably the best guide we’ve come across. Informative, interesting and patient. It was a great introduction to the town and he gave us some great recommendations for the rest of our holiday
