Slivovitz Museum - R. Jelinek
Come and learn about the history of the typical Czech fruit spirit called Slivovitz (Slivovice) in the interactive exhibition located close to the Vltava river right in the center of Prague! Follow the journey of the plum from the plum orchard all the way to the distillery and final bottling. You can look forward to interesting projections, genuine exhibits, and an exclusive 5D show in virtual reality. You will get a chance to taste 3 types of fruit spirits paired with typical Wallachian finger food at the end of your tour.

5.00Very welcoming despite us being the only guests during the tour. Modern and clean and very interesting information about the harrowing history of its founders. The 3D ride of the story of the plum was great and the bottling plant was very interactive and enjoyable. Then 3 very good shots for tasting with a choice of side dishes. Very enjoyable morning.

4.00Staff Member was a bit clueless about our Voucher, eventually got in to start the tour. Loved the 5D experience of your journey as a Plum. Unfortunately didn't like the drinks, but the snacks were nice.

5.00I wasn’t sure what to expect exactly and as we visited on a Sunday evening it was very quiet with just myself and my husband on the tour. The first part was a little bit tedious and we found ourselves wanting to move on to the next part which was also a bit boring as it was more informative than interactive. When we got to the third part of the tour, the fun began! The VR headsets and moving chairs really brought to life the life cycle of a plum being made into Slivovice! As bizarre as that may sound it was awesome and I was cackling with laughter! Such fun! We opted for the kosher experience so the tasting platter and flight of slivovice at the end of the hour was exceptional! Staff were great and very accommodating and I would recommend this on the VR experience alone! Definitely value for money and a very interesting and unique experience.

5.00Really interesting learning how a business survived and grew after world wars and occupation. Loved virtual reality tour from the perspective of a plum into plum brandy. Tasting was accompanied with delicious snacks.

3.00It was okay, an automated tour with timed doors; you spend around 5 minutes in each section. The samples of the 3 brandies at the end and the canapes that went with them were good. Might be more interesting if you already know the product and wanted to learn some of it's history.
