See Pompeii’s ancient piazza and Forum, where business dealings, elections, speeches and processions would have played out during Roman times. Wander the site, marvel at the ancient limestone columns still standing today and capture the centuries-old scenery on camera. Continue onward with your guide to the thermal baths, where many of the townsfolk would have bathed, chatted and lived out their daily lives before the eruption. Wander down Via degli Augustali and discover the Lupanare, Pompeii’s brothel. A 2-storey building with five rooms on each floor, the Lupanare is decorated with some of the city’s most lustful frescoes. Your exact route will depend on the crowds and weather conditions.

1.00The pick up and drop off and communication went well. Staff doing the work on the ground getting people checked off and keeping all the moving parts organized did a great job. I disliked this tour because of the guide's inability to communicate clearly in English and their seeming desire to be entertaining/funny (they were neither) interfered with communicating the information.

4.00Sometimes difficult for English speakers, as drivers did not have basic English….on our return trip the driver and us did not understand each other, thankfully a Spanish fellow passenger who had some English skills helped us..

1.00It was horrible! Your operator in Naples told us to meet at the Hotel Palazzo Salgado … “a 5-minute walk from our cruise ship.” We were supposed to hook up at 10 a.m. The “5- minute walk” ended up taking us 35 minutes. When we arrived at the hotel there was no one there to meet us. They even sent me a map showing the location of the hotel. In all of the confusion at the hotel and my frantic efforts to try to find our tour guide, I fell down in front of the hotel and was severely injured. The hotel staff came outside to help me. Throughout this ordeal, the operator never reached out to me by phone! The hotel called Viator for us and another operator was finally sent to rescue us. This was an experience that I would never wish on anyone. You should refund our fee 100%.

5.00Wonderful transport and tour for a very short Pompeii experience. The bus ride was comfortable and quick (25 minutes from cruise terminal). Tour guides gave very good directions about what was happening and when we were doing what. You are provided with an ear piece to hear the tour guide which is helpful when it is crowded. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and told us many facts. In scenic areas she gave us five minutes to take a few pictures. It was very crowded the day we went but she managed to take us through all of the popular areas and show off the sights. Our only issue is that we did not book a longer tour! We could've spent 8 hours wandering around!! If you have time I definitely recommend a longer tour than the 1/2 day. This tour included about 2 hours inside of Pompeii itself. Our only slight hiccup was figuring out where to meet them. They showed up exactly at the stated pickup time (we are always early and could not find them early). Pickup and drop-off for cruise passengers was directly outside the cruise terminal which was ideal and very simple for us. When we called asking for help they were very responsive and told us where to wait.

1.00I strongly advise against this excursion! I've experienced incredible outings in Palma de Mallorca, Florence, and Pisa, but this one was a complete letdown. I wasn't alone in my disappointment—everyone around me shared the same feelings of frustration and dissatisfaction. It simply didn't live up to expectations!
