  We had a fantastic 2.5-hour tour with Romolo. He is incredibly knowledgeable – a walking encyclopedia – and responded to all our questions with great insight. He tailored the tour perfectly to our interests and needs, and it was clear throughout how much he cared about making sure we learned as much as possible and truly enjoyed our time in Pompeii. An exceptional guide – highly recommended!

  It was my first time visiting Italy and Pompeii. At first, I thought the place might not really interest me, but our tour guide Romolo completely changed my impression! The way he shared the history of Pompeii was so fascinating that I became really engaged and curious to learn more. Also, English is my second language, and I really appreciated how clearly and simply he explained everything. It made the tour easy to follow and very enjoyable.   Romolo has proven to be a great guide, his tour and careful selection of points of interest gave us a vivid Impression of the history of Pompei, its social structure and the daily life of its inhabitants. Good walking and talking pace, three hours just flew by.

  Romolo was an exceptional guide — knowledgeable, funny, and genuinely passionate about Pompeii. From the very start, he made us feel completely at ease and turned what could have been just another historical tour into something truly memorable. He brought the ruins to life with great stories, humor, and just the right amount of detail. Even our “hate-everything teenagers” were completely engaged — which says it all. Nothing felt rushed or rehearsed; it was a relaxed walk through history with someone who clearly loves what he does. Highly recommended.

  Romolo, our tour guide, was fantastic. He is funny, engaging, and has a wealth of knowledge about the history of Pompeii as well as the layout of the park. He incorporated some requested sights and took us to all the highlights, expertly avoiding any big tour groups. He was able to incorporate a lot of information during the tour and having him as our guide was the best way to see the park. I would definitely seek him out for additional tours and highly recommend him to anyone thinking about going to Pompeii Archaeological Park.

His extensive knowledge and friendly nature made the tour very informative and enjoyable to learn many facts we had not considered before. We would absolutely recommend him to conduct this tour.   Absolutely Fantastic Tour with Romolo! We had the pleasure of touring the Pompeii archaeological site on August 3, 2025, with Romolo as our guide, and it was hands-down one of the best guided tours we’ve ever experienced. Romolo is from Pompeii and grew up surrounded by its history, which really shows—his knowledge is incredibly deep, and his passion for the site is contagious. In just 3 hours, he made sure we saw all the most important highlights while weaving in fascinating stories that brought the ancient city to life. The way he explained the events that unfolded here helped us truly imagine what it must have been like to live in Pompeii before and during the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. We were especially impressed with how he engaged our kids (ages 11 and 13) the entire time—no small feat! He tailored his explanations to keep them interested and curious, and by the end, they were asking questions and pointing things out themselves. If you are visiting Pompeii, do yourself a favor and book a tour with Romolo. You’ll walk away not just with beautiful memories and photos, but with a much deeper understanding of this incredible place. Highly, highly recommended!

  Our experience in Pompeii was amazing because Romolo was the best tour guide! From the moment we stepped off the train he was there to meet us with a smiling face, full of enthusiasm. We had a private tour for the six of us, ages 14, 18, 48, 52, 72, and 74. Romolo seemed to personally know everyone that worked at Pompeii and helped us skip lines and have the best access to everything. It truly felt like a VIP experience. He made the tour interesting, entertaining, fun and engaged everyone, We all learned so many new things, even my husband who is a huge history buff. We couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide. He was the best! The teens who are spoiled and often hard to please, said it was one of their best experiences while in Italy that they will never forget. (While we were in Italy we went to Sorrento, Capri, Positano, Almalfi, Ischia and Pompeii. We went kayaking, tried a few beach clubs, went shopping, and took a few boat tours)

  We had an excellent tour of Pompeii with Romolo. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about the history of the site. He made the ruins come alive with stories and details that kept our whole family interested—including our kids. Romolo made the most of the time we had, efficiently guiding us through all the key sites without it ever feeling rushed. He even went with us to the museum afterward to explain some of the artifacts in context, which added a lot to the experience. At the end, he made sure we knew exactly where to catch our bus. Thoughtful, well-prepared, and genuinely enthusiastic—highly recommend him as a guide.
