  This tour with Romolo was truly incredible, and without a doubt, the absolute highlight of our time in Pompeii! If you’re visiting Pompeii and have the chance to tour with him, take it. No hesitation. Romolo was exceptional. His knowledge is deep and fascinating, but what really makes him stand out is how he brings everything to life. You’re not just walking through ruins, you’re stepping into stories, history, and moments that suddenly feel real and vivid. His energy is contagious, and he has an incredible way with people, especially kids. Keeping children engaged in Pompeii is no easy task, yet he had them completely hooked the entire time. They were curious, excited, and fully immersed from start to finish. Out of everything we experienced on this trip, this was the tour we’ll be talking about for years. It was engaging, memorable, and genuinely special. I can’t recommend Romolo highly enough! If you want a Pompeii experience that’s meaningful, dynamic, and unforgettable, he’s your guide.

  We had a fantastic experience with Romano. He was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and made everything so interesting and easy to follow. He kept our teenagers fully engaged throughout, which is no small feat, and made the whole day feel seamless and enjoyable. Highly recommend, he really made our visit special.

  My family (party of 3) booked a private tour and it was exceptional. The weather was perfect and crowd size was manageable in early April. Our guide, Romolo, was so welcoming and knowledgeable; his personality and information contributed significantly to the breathtaking experience of Pompeii. The tour was two hours and 15 minutes which was sufficient for providing a context for deeper understanding of the location and was helpful for exploring on our own. I would strongly encourage anyone considering a tour to book one- you won’t regret it.

  Romolo was knowledgeable, spoke clear english, witty, kind, but most of all accommodating. My daughter woke the day of our tour with a head cold. I contacted Romolo by WhatsApp and asked if we could reschedule for the next day. He immediately said he was sorry to hear of my daughter’s illness and that he could do the next day. We used Viator to book the tour and its website clearly says no cancellation or reschedules if within 24 hours of scheduled tour. Romolo did not have to reschedule but he did and we were very thankful. Not only did we get to use the tour we paid for but his knowledge, witty, and fun personality made our tour very enjoyable. I would highly recommend using Romolo.

  I cannot recommend Pompeii with Romolo enough!!! I feel so lucky to have connected with him and his business through Viator and that he had availability. Pompeii with a guide is a must and Romolo is an expert along with just a wonderful person-so knowledgeable not just with Pompeii but the surrounding area in general. I hope to come back and tour Pompeii further but this tour makes sure you see all the essentials! Romolo is super efficient and packs a ton into these two hours. If you need your sign here it is-recommend without hesitation!

  As a couple, Romolo's lively, well-constructed, always exciting, intelligent and well-judged tour, riddled with humour and interesting information, enjoyed a guided tour of a part of Pompei, and were, as an older couple, also quite done after the 2.5 hours. He also helped us unravel the confusing ticket situation. Great compliment.

  Romolo was great! Hands down probably the best tour we’ve had. Private tours is the only way to go. Pompeii is enormous, so it was nice to have a local point out the most interesting portions. It saved us wandering around looking at the same stuff or getting lost in the labyrinth of houses. Perfect for the amount of time we had.
