Raffaele could not have been a more perfect professore for my curious family. We had completed our homework on Pompeii (books, podcasts, film, literature) so Raffaele was able to tailor our adventure to our knowledge base. We would hire him again and again for each of the ancient sites. As an archaeologist, his knowledge is extensive and current.

We chose the perfect guide for our visit to Pompeii! Not only was Raffaele full of knowledge but his stories and passion made you feel what is was like to live in Pompeii and what it must have been like on that tragic day. Rafael was super knowledgeable and wasn't stumped on any question. He was able to provide great context about the different aspects of Pomeii's history and the culture of its people. He has a great sense of humor too. This experience was so much better than being in a larger group.

Our family group of 3 had a fabulous learning experience with Serena visiting Pompeii. Her extensive knowledge of the history of Pompeii is obvious along with her passion for sharing it. We all felt that Serena is among the best of tour guides that we have been with over many years of travel. When we returned to Naples for the walking tour portion and lunch she went out her way to contact a colleague and find a pizza restaurant that met the gluten free needs of one in our group. Very highly recommend Serena as you will not be disappointed!

Dario was a great guide who helped us navigate the site and the crowds with his imaginative narrative approach, bringing daily life of the ancient city to life for us. His extensive arsenal of facts is impressive, and he made the best use of our two hours together by streamlining our stops to ensure we hit all the highlights. At times, it felt a bit rushed if I wanted to linger or take pictures in any one spot, but that was more a function of the shorter two hour time frame we requested. We appreciated how Dario worked to ensure we got to all the key attractions, and he even made suggestions for what else we could see once our time with him was over. We would highly recommend Dario for your private Pompeii tour!

Raffaele was both knowledgable and passionate about Pompeii. He made the tour interesting and whilst we learnt the history it was also fun. A great way to see an amazing city.

Yana made our experience at Pompeii the best. She was helpful before we arrived with transportation advice, she was flexible with our schedule and her knowledge about the history on Pompeii and how she shared it was fabulous. We plan to book more tours with Yana.

We had read a good deal about Pompeii ahead of our visit but took the advice of friends who had done the trip to book a guide ahead of time. We decided that a private tour with Dario would help us make the most of our time. We were not disappointed. It was easy to make the arrangements through With Locals and we met Dario earlier than planned which suited us both. Dario impressed with his knowledge and expertly guided us to the must see locations whilst all the time providing fascinating insights on Pompeii and its history. Could not recommend more highly.

From every interaction prior to and during the tour, Yana was incredible. She exceeded our expectations and really catered the tour to our needs and wants. We saw so much and had such rich education from Yana. I’ve never experienced such a wonderful guide on any private tour, anywhere. If you’re going to Pompeii, I recommend Yana. She is absolutely amazing

Vitalija was a really fantastic guide. We were running late due to issues picking up our hire car & Vitalija was very accommodating. She swept us past the queue and gave us a really fun and engaging tour of Pompeii. Vitalija’s insights and insider knowledge were fascinating & she also managed to bypass the very long tour group queues for some of the major attractions such as the brothel.. A huge thank you Vitalija, we could never have experienced Pompeii the way we did without you!
