Great tour in the famous silver mines of Potosi. First we stopped at the miners market to buy some gifts for the miners. After we went to a nice viewpoint and finally we went in to the mines for 2.5 hours. Great experience

The Cerro Rico mine tour is extremely unsafe. You share the narrow tunnels with mine trolleys, and at times you’re forced to press against the wall to let them pass. The only light comes from your helmet, and inside there is no ventilation. The air is thick with dust, the smell of dynamite, and it’s hard to breathe at almost 5,000 meters of altitude. I personally felt very unwell — short of breath, dizzy, and trapped. If you have a episode of claustrophobia, dizziness, or lack of air, there’s nothing that can be done to help inside. Honestly, this kind of tour shouldn’t exist. I cannot recommend it. I said I had enough and guide have some water you will be fine but I was nearly failing and you can't go back because the tour need to keep going. There is no point going there, didn't worth it. I feel sorry for the milions which have died there and the works were still works there. The guide was lovely, not her fault its just how this mine is, dangerous and unsafe.

A very good and interesting experience to know more about the culture of Bolivia, fully recommended. The most interesting thing is to know the lives of the people who work in there and about the minerals that you get, our guide was very friendly and explained everything

This was an absolutely awesome tour. We were worried it was going to be a crazy large group, but it ended up just being me and my friend. Our tour guide Soul, (I think that was her name) she was excellent. She has great English and she has a very intimate understanding of the mine and its worker, and she makes sure we get a very authentic experience.

It was unexpected, it’s a working mine. So take care and step aside when they come through with product on the lines. We also didn’t expect to get ready at the hotel we were staying at. If fit and not oversized (tall) person, it’s fairly easy experience. We went with people who booked through our hotel or similar, but was enjoyable. Your house spoke both English and Spanish for an equally enjoyable experience for all. Also, it handy said in other guides but a ‘ gift’ to the minors is an unsaid need. It only cost Aprx 20Bs per person. It consists of either soft drink & cocoa leaf package , or tools such as explosives Who I went with didn’t give me the option to say with starters and a companion.

You can walk through the silver mines that are still dug. At least in Japan there are tourist caves that are maintained and illuminated, but this is different. Very real and wonderful 👍

The visit was carried out in very good conditions. Our guide Sol having previously worked in the mine, she had a very good knowledge of the place and the miners. This visit allowed us to see the harsh working conditions of the miners.
