This exclusive semi-private in-depth educational tour offers a personal and respectful exploration of the rich history of Prague’s Jewish community.
You’ll visit all key sites (including all interiors) of the Old-New Synagogue, Maisel Synagogue, Holocaust Memorial, Medieval Jewish Cemetery, and the stunning Spanish Synagogue.

5.00I do this tour every year, אבל הפעם זה היה מיוחד—this time I came not with students, but with my family. And honestly, every single one of them was completely blown away, ממש בהלם טוב. The Prague Jewish Quarter and Terezín Ghetto & camp tour with Pavel Batel and his historians was an incredible experience – חוויה עוצמתית, עמוקה ומרגשת. Everything is so well organized, the story flows naturally, והכול מוסבר בצורה ברורה ומדויקת, בלי בלבול ובלי רגעים מתים. Each place makes sense, every stop has meaning, וזה מרגיש כמו לחזור בזמן. My mother told me she felt like she was back there, שהיא ממש חזרה אחורה בזמן – וזה אומר הכול. This is not a “tour.” זו חוויה יהודית, אנושית, וחינוכית ברמה הכי גבוהה. 5.00Bat-El tours was amazing! Very organized, responsive and reasonably priced. Our tour guide of the Jewish quarter, Julie, was very knowledgeable and shared so much interesting information! I highly recommend booking a tour with Bat-El if you are looking for a well-organized tour agency.

It was particularly meaningful given my personal connection to Prague and Yvonne provided both the important context and the space for me to enjoy an impactful visit. I could spend days following her through the Czech Republic! Hope to bring my family back to meet with her again.

5.00My friend and I took a wonderful tour of Jewish Kolin with Yvonne. We learned a lot about the Jewish history of Kolin before and after the holocaust. We visited 2 cemeteries and a synagogue. Yvonne is very knowledgeable and generous with her time as we had many questions. It was a wonderful experience for us and I highly recommend the tour.

5.00This was a fabulous tour provided by Michaela. She was very knowledgeable not only about the Jewish quarter but about Czech history as well as it related to the Jewish population. We learned many new facts. We toured several synagogues and the cemetery and Michaela’s detailed commentary really added a lot to our experience. She recommended watching a Czech film “All of my loved ones” on YouTube about the rescued children during WW2 which we watched that afternoon. It was very sad but also inspirational. This tour is highly recommended.

5.00We took two tours with Bet-El during our stay in Prague. We started with an excellent tour of Jewish Prague with Katrin. It gave us a wonderful introduction to Prague with a good level of information and a perfectly timed coffee stop!! Our second tour, to Terezin, with Pavel was even more phenomenal. The information that he shared both about his own story and the history of Terezin was incredible in the true sense of the word. The way he delivered the information, the level of his passion and the depth of his knowledge were inspiring and engaging. He had my total attention from 9am when he picked us up until 4.30 when we returned. I feel very privileged that Pavel led our tour as he explained that he is reducing the number of tours that he takes to concentrate on his plans for further research and expanding awareness of the story of Terezin.
