We start the journey by picking you up at your accomodation. After a 40-minute drive through worlds longest and deepest underwater tunnel and scenic views of Jørpeland, we'll arrive at the trailhead. Here, your guide will share insights about the trail and expected conditions.
After approximately 2 hours of hiking we will reach the majestic Preikestolen / Pulpit Rock cliffside 604 meters (1981 feet) above the sea. Eat your lunch with the majestic view of Lysefjorden all around you!

5.00Had a great day hiking to Preikestolen with Ivan. He was very friendly, easy going and knowledgeable about the amazing hiking route. During the hike, Ivan made sure everyone was safe and no one was left behind. We took plenty of breaks to admire the incredible views on a beautiful sunny day. Would highly recommend!

5.00The hike to Preikestolen was definitely challenging, but absolutely worth it for the incredible view at the top. Pictures truly do not do it justice. Our guide was so kind, patient, and encouraging throughout the entire hike, which made the experience even better. It ended up being just me and another solo female traveler, and it made for such a peaceful and memorable day. Tired legs, amazing views, unforgettable experience. Highly recommend!

2.00I would not recommend this guided hike. Our group was a good small size (8 people), and our guide showed us a lesser known path through the woods for some of the journey up, which was good. Otherwise, being on a guided hike added no value to the experience, and meant it felt very rushed. Our guide was a seasonal worker, not local as advertised, and was quite rude when we were a few minutes late at the start, since the pickup was not as described and we were confused. He did not interact much with the group or tell us anything about the geography, history, etc. He hiked ahead and acted mostly as a timekeeper, because the hike was very rushed. We had some people in our group who had to get back quite early for a cruise ship. It was reasonable that they had to return on time to get back on board, but we felt that the tour provider should offer separate hikes for those with this tight time pressure. A couple needed to drop out from our group after 30 mins because they couldn't keep up, and our guide had not noticed how much they were struggling until we had to ask for them to take a pause. My friend and I found the hiking pace fine but would have liked more opportunities to enjoy the view. We wanted more than 25 minutes at the top to eat lunch, take photos and enjoy, so our guide went on ahead with the others and we had to rush down to catch up with the group again. Since the hike had to leave behind 50% of its group, it did not feel well paced. There is a regular, direct bus from Stavanger to the starting car park, and the path is very obvious, easy and popular - so you do not need a guide, even if travelling solo. Would have been a better experience to take it at our own pace, although the other hikers in our group were nice. The hike to Preikestolen and the view at the top are incredible and well worth doing.

5.00Theo was our guide and we had a great hike! The weather wasn't in our favour and the views at the top of Preikestolen weren't great but we can't fault Theo and the GetGuidedNorway team - would definitely recommend! Theo was easy to chat to during the hike and was giving our group lots of recommendations for the area during our stays. Thanks Theo! Matt & Emily
Challenging But Worth It

4.00Tour guides, Max and Kristina, picked us up at our hotel on time. They were very friendly and very knowledgeable. We were given a Norwegian chocolate bar (similar to a Kit Kat, but better) prior to the start of the hike. The first three hills were challenging with the third being the most difficult. After that it was "Norwegian Flat" (more inclines, but manageable). :)

5.00Excellent guide. Very organised, got us to the Pulpit Rock summit quick and safe! Good time of year, not crowded Would add as someone afraid of heights; not for the faint hearted 😅 Pulpit Rock is incredible with scenery to match but quite steep

5.00The walk does need a reasonable degree of fitness. This walk would not suit anyone with knee or hip problems. Our guide, Rasen (from Denmark) was very good. He looked after us all well & kept the whole group together, stopping when needed for rests & for everyone to stay together. Pick up & drop off were both on time. Communication prior to our trip was good. We had a really enjoyable day for Grace's birthday! 😁

5.00We arrived by cruise ship. Meet up was well organised. It was a small tour. 6 people in total which was very thoughtful as the guide was able to keep a track of us. He was very friendly, knowledgeable about the area and an experienced hiker. He was very consider too and privided walking sticks and a bar of chocolate. He well paced the hike. Smaller group definitely was beneficial as less waiting if it was a larger group. Thank you
