  The best way to travel to the tunnel is by boat. It was amazing. Harry, our guide, was so knowledgeable. So glad we didn’t chose to sit in the car to get here. Well worth it.

  We had Lucky as our guide, and I already miss her, she was a wonderful, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, attentive and fun person to spend the day with. She was incredible, as was the whole Les Rives experience. They did two outstanding things: 1) When I had a bad stomach they allowed us to change from the 7am to 11am at 6:50 2) We booked the AO show package, after which we were written to, with a great amount of apology, to cancel and refund the portion as the seats available weren’t very good so they recommended choosing our own. A lot of companies would have taken the money and sat you behind a pillar, I was very, very impressed. The speed boat was fun, the food and refreshments were expectational, but most of all we were so ‘Lucky’ with our guide :)

  Great experience! Everything ran smoothly and was as advertised! Our guide spoke great English, had lived experience which made it even more engaging/meaningful however he was also funny and entertaining (which was a nice balance) . It was just over an hour on the speed boat each way. So you get to see the high density of the city through to the rural riverside communities (which was an eye-opener for the kids (18 & 16)! Would recommend!

  After a lot of driving during other parts of our holiday, it felt like a luxury to take a speed boat to the Cu Chi Tunnels! It was extremely smooth and a better way to travel. We received a light breakfast (croissant or banh mi, plus fruit) on board. Water and cokes were unlimited on the boat. Once at the tunnels, it was almost empty - just us and another group who arrived by speed boat. So we had the place to ourselves. The tour was very informative. You don’t have to go into any of the tunnels if you don’t want to. If that’s the case, there’s still a lot to see and learn about. In the middle of the tour, we stopped for a short break and if you wanted you could fire some bullets at a gun range. As we were ending our tour and going for lunch (which was tasty), the car park was almost full and the place was getting so busy. It was also starting to get really warm. So another advantage of arriving early is you avoid the midday sun. The reason for giving a 4 star review rather than 5 is that at the end of the tour, we felt our guide was a bit too pushy about people leaving a tip. We tipped generously everywhere in Vietnam and this would have been no different, but this was the only experience where we felt pressured into tipping. Also at the end, we asked to be dropped to a slightly different location (still within district 3 which is meant to be included in the price of the tour) and again our guide told us it’s possible, but we’d have to tip the driver. Considering how much we paid for this tour and having already tipped on the boat, it left me with a slightly bad feeling. So overall I do recommend the tour, but it was slightly soured at the end by the pushiness of the guide.

  We would recommend this tour as the tour by speed boat leaves 7am so you get to CHU Chi Tunnels early before all the crowds arrive. The tour guide and hosts look after you very well and is also relaxing along the river. We also did the shooting range which was a great experience. Overall a great tour. Well organised and a great lunch to finish.

  An exceptionally well organised trip. From being picked up from hotel, a 70 minute relaxing speed boat ride with a delicious breakfast, an informative & interesting tour by our guide Tony, a fantastic lunch spread & then a speedboat back, was arranged seamlessly and professionally. Absolutely worth the money and we only had 8 in our group. The early arrival meant we missed the masses arriving in coaches a few hours after us. We were given drinks and fruit throughout the speedboat journey and we felt we were treated so kindly. Absolutely recommend this trip.

  We had a fantastic day with Les Rives! The early 7am start was perfect to beat the crowds. Pick-up and drop-off at our hotel made everything easy. Our guide and crew were friendly and well-organized, providing Banh Mi, coffee, and fruit for breakfast, plus plenty of drinks throughout the day. Travelling by **speedboat** was a highlight — a relaxing and scenic way to see life along the Saigon River. The **Cu Chi Tunnels** were fascinating and gave a real insight into Vietnam’s history and the resilience of its people. We even got to fire an AK-47 at the shooting range (extra cost). Lunch was fresh, delicious, and plentiful. Overall, an excellent, well-run tour — highly recommend!

  What a special and informative visit to the tunnels we had. We were picked up from our hotel at 0700 (yes, early start but worth it to avoid the later crowds£ and were taken to a boat on the river which roared along! On arrival we were taken to the tunnels which are fascinating. My wife was brave and small enough to climb into a camouflaged hole. As for me, even with these holes increased in size by 20% for the tourists, I couldn’t get my hips in! We were offered to go along a stretch of tunnel (I again was too large!) and (at a cost) fire live ammunition. At the end of the tour we were treated to a delicious lunch (vegan snd seafood allergies were not a problem with due warning). We then returned to Saigon arriving from memory at 1330. Are tour guide, Anna, we exceptional. She was polite, friendly and very informative (and spoke good English). It’s a must for any visit to Saigon.
