Zemaitija National Park
Samogitia National Park or Žemaitija National Park is a national park in Lithuania. It is situated on the Samogitian Highlands, 45 km from the Baltic Sea. Lakes cover more than 7% of its territory. Lake Plateliai (12.05 km², 47 m depth) is the largest lake. The town of Plateliai, situated on the shore of the lake, is the seat of the park's administration and a popular tourist destination.

5.00This is an amazing experience, guided by a real professional. Not to mention the beauty of Plateliai lake and spiritually and physically refreshing activity, Janis is one of the most dedicated person we ever met. He is a creator of hadcrafted Canoe's and a really great guide, that is really nice and intelligent persont to talk and to know better the history of Lithuania. All the activities are so greatly planned: the picnick, the photoshoot from the sky and so much more. Absolutely recomending! it was a great day

5.00Already 5 Minutes after booking and the official booking confirmation I received another email from Janis (the tour guide) directly WOW, that's quite a service!! Asking me, where it should be best to meet, or to pick me wherever I am. As we are in the first days of June, the high season hasn't started yet. So I was lucky to be the only guest, having just a completely private tour. Janis picked me up exactly on time in the morning. We have been out on the lake until afternoon. It was sich a great day, that I can hardly put it into word. Janis and I shared one canoe. A beautiful one, which he builds himself during winter times. In summer he offers tours with it. We had a lot of chatting during the paddling. Janis speaks absolute fluently English. But we also shared quiet moments, simply enjoying the beautiful nature around us. After a great picknick for lunch on one of the small islands in the lake we kept on paddling. Janis then let a drone fly above us and taking great pictures fromabove. It was really a perfect day, with Janis being a perfect and sympathetic guide. If you want a once in a lifetime experience then book this canoe tour with him.
