Khor Virap
Khor Virap is the most famous pilgrimage site in Armenia, as it is directly connected with the adoption of Christianity. As a state religion, Christianity in Armenia was adopted in 301 due to endeavors of Saint Gregory The Illuminator, who, before converting King Trdat The 3rd to Christianity, was imprisoned in the dungeon, over which a church of Khor Virap monastery was built in the 17th century. From the monastery one can admire the stunning view of the Biblical Mount Ararat.
The Monastery of Geghard
Geghard monastery is the unsurpassable masterpiece of the 13th century Armenian architecture. Some of the churches of the complex are masterfully hewn in a huge rock. From the outset the complex was called Ayrivank (cave monastery), later it was renamed Geghard (lance) as the lance, used by the roman soldier to sting Jesus Christ's side, had been kept in this monastery for many centuries. Due to its construction, Geghardavank serves the best place for singing spiritual songs. The complex is rich in subtle sculptural embellishments and many striking khachkars (cross-stones). The site is included in UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List.

5.00We booked the tour 24 hours in advance, was processed fast and well. Driver Arakel was waiting for us at 8 in the morning as agreed. As we were going through different viewpoints he explained facts about history, culture, people and a lot more. We even stopped for berries to keep the energy levels high with natural sugar. Took photos of us and a lot more. Had the pleasure to share lunch together as well. Safe. Lovely. Fun. If you are visiting Armenia and want to get a tour, this is the way to do it!

5.00A very nice trip, great choice of locations. Our driver Arthur was very kind and helpful. We also recommend purchasing the lunch- the food tasted great and it was a beautiful place. We had a very lovely time ;)

5.00We really enjoyed the tour with our guide Arev and driver Taron - they made sure everything went smoothly from pickup to drop off. Arev was especially knowledgable and was able to anser all of our questions! The selection of sites in this tour is well thought out, they are located approximately 30-45 mins apart (it took us 6 hours total) and give a great impression of the nature and historical architecture in the areas surrounding Yerevan. Overall highly recommended!

5.00We had a fantastic time with Hyur Service. Our tour guide Samvel was super friendly, knowledgable and very accommodating. He really went out of his way to make this trip memorable (Took us to an amazing restaurant on the way as well as helped us with taking a lot of photos) Our driver Harut was also very friendly and accommodating. His driving was super safe and he went out of his way to make this trip memorable. One of the best private tours experiences we’ve ever had. Super grateful

5.00We had a excellent driver, Arakel. His a knowledge, friendly and have a great personality. We had tour without a guild, but Arakel knows a lot of Armenian history. His was answer all our questions. Gorgeous mountains monasteries, reservoir and valley views made our day.
