Acropolis
You will start your journey by heading towards the archeological site of the Acropolis. With your child-friendly state-licensed guide the whole family will explore Athens’ most impressive site with its glorious monuments while taking in the stories and myths of the past. The children will be intrigued by the story-telling, while at the same time the whole family will be able to see the stories come to life thanks to the specially designed iPad mini augmented reality capabilities.Your guide will provide each member with one such iPad at the site.

Then, you will move on to the renowned New Acropolis Museum where you will admire from up-close treasures of the past. Notes & Clarifications •Prices vary according to group size •Afternoon starting time is available from May to September •Since this tour includes walking, you will need to be wearing comfortable shoes, a hat and sun-block. Don’t forget to bring a water bottle and lots of energy! •Keep in mind that this is a private tour and it is possible to customize it to meet your desires. 5.00We had an outstanding experience with Athens Insider’s Acropolis and New Acropolis Museum tours. Our guide Katerina was very knowledgeable and engaging. She has a degree in architecture so she was an excellent fit for us since my partner and I are both architects. She met us right on time at our hotel lobby and we set out on foot for a walk through the Plaka neighborhood and the climb to the acropolis. Katerina was always mindful of our comfort, offering opportunities for coffee, snack or restroom breaks. The tour through the neighborhood was highly informative, revealing hidden gems like the Choragic Monument of Lysicrates. At the acropolis Katerina demonstrated an expert understanding of the history of the site and the various phases and technical aspects of construction of the monuments. Descending to the museum, she explained the design of the new building and its relationship to the footprint and orientation of the Parthenon. We explored together the particulars of the sculptural elements that adorned structures, and the complex politics relating to the repatriation of sculptures that were taken to Britain in the 19th Century. All in all it was a great tour and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serious knowledgeable guide with excellent academic credentials.

5.00Angela was our guide and was absolutely amazing. She explained all the history but kept it fun and interesting. It was my husband and I. We did a private tour and was totally worth it. We didn’t waste time at the wrong stuff , Angela guided us perfectly

5.00Our family (two adults, two teens and one grandparent) had a fantastic tour with Antigone. She met us at our hotel and walked us to the Acropolis. The tour was perfectly paced for our family. Antigone was knowledgeable and thoughtful. We would highly recommend this tour.

5.00My husband and I and our four children (ages 15, 13, 9 and 5) toured the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum with our guide, Nota. We can’t imagine touring these places without her expertise. Her knowledge base was phenomenal and her method of engaging each of our kids was impressive. For example, she had my kids draw a depiction of the battle for Athens between Athena and Poseidon as they imagined it and then we compared it to the actual depiction in the museum. My kids loved that. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour, but more impressively my kids remarked how much they enjoyed it too.

5.00Our Family of 4 ( 2 girls 11 and 9) took three tours from Athens Insiders in June 2018 , and we are very happy with our decision . Mariliza was very professional and quick to answer all our queries and set up all the tours . All the tours were kid friendly , kept their attention and even fostered their history inquisitiveness. All the guides were wonderful , special shout-out to Kostos , Nancy ,Dimosthenis and Christina . Thanks and we hope to be back to explore more next time .

5.00Nota absolutely made our time in Athens. Met us at our Air-BnB and walked up to to the Acropolis. She struck the perfect balance of archeologist/teacher/guide for our 8,10,12, and 40 year kids. Brought the temples at the Acropolis back to life and accompanied us down to the museum. Great day invested in the history of Athens. Highly recommended!

5.00visit the acropolis and the acropolis museum with Petros. Our 2 children (14 and 10 years) loved this visit. Petros who speaks a practically perfect French has passed his passion for the region to our 2 pre-teens. The anecdotes are many and varied. With this visit, our children left with some keys that they used for the rest of the stay. Adults also enjoyed this visit: playful, rhythmic as we love them.
