Explore the Yorkshire Dales National Park on the officially endorsed tour by the World of James Herriot. This tour focusses on the countryside and locations used for filming the new All Creatures Great & Small TV series starring Nicholas Ralph in the lead role of Yorkshire Vet, James Herriot. You will enjoy photo stops along the way and a lunchtime stop in Grassington, used as the main filming location for "Darrowby". You will also have the option to visit the award-winning World of James Herriot Visitor Attraction in Thirsk to see where Alf Wight (the real James Herriot) lived, worked and wrote his series of books, based upon his experiences as a young Yorkshire Vet. Our driver guides have many stories to tell of the real-life James Herriot and are passionate about sharing their local knowledge and experiences with you.

5.00We thoroughly enjoyed our experience today on the All Creatures Great and Small Tour. We found Chris to be a knowledgeable guide and an excellent driver! We never felt rushed and the stops along the way were perfectly timed. It was a lovely day and we would highly recommend this tour for those who wish to experience the breathtaking beauty of the Yorkshire Dales.

5.00This was a fabulous day out and experience. Such lovely places from the market square at Masham to the delightful space , cafes and shops at Grassington. And the idyllic river and abbey ruins. Our guide Mark was especially thoughtful and friendly even pointing out the best bits , and toilets on arrival. The scenery is stunning. Nice to meet other friendly folk from around the world on the tour too. Thoroughly recommended.

5.00The overall knowledge of our driver, Howard. for all things All Creatures Great and Small and also the overall Yorkshire Dales was astonishing. As the witching hour of 5.00 p.m. was approaching he was eager to continue showing us places of interest and continued to do so until after 6:00 p.m. Highly recommended.

5.00This trip was a very special event for my family. My husband and daughter are veterinarians and this experience was a dream come true. We have loved the books, the two series and even CAT ABOUT TOWN for children in particular!
