Bodrum Castle
Bodrum Castle (Saint Peter's Castle) One of Bodrum's most iconic structures, Bodrum Castle was built by the Knights of St. John in the 15th century. One of the best-preserved medieval castles on the Aegean coast, the structure has carried traces of different cultures with the addition of a mosque during the Ottoman period. While there are different sections such as French, English, German and Italian towers inside the castle, visitors can enjoy the magnificent view of the Aegean Sea. In addition to being a military structure, the castle is one of the most important symbols of Bodrum's cultural and historical identity today.

Bodrum Underwater Archaeology Museum The Bodrum Underwater Archaeology Museum, located inside Bodrum Castle, is considered one of the most important underwater museums in the world. The museum, which exhibits artifacts unearthed from shipwreck excavations in the Aegean and Mediterranean, sheds light on maritime history. Among the most striking exhibitions in the museum are: Uluburun Shipwreck (one of the oldest shipwrecks in the world, dating back to the 14th century BC), Glass Shipwrecks Collection, Amphorae, jewelry and objects related to seafaring, and shipwrecks from the Ottoman and Roman periods.

5.00This was a smooth day with GG our tour guide. She picked us up form the port and showed us all the beauties of this town. Driver was professional , vehicle was clean. We were not rushed at all. Later in the day we also saw how the Turkish handwoven carpets are made in the cooperation, we appriciated this art. In short worths every penny.

5.00We had a private tour with Selim and he was great. We were driven in the spacious air conditioned van. Sellm took us to major sites and beautiful places with historical significance. We are highly recommending Salim.

5.00Day is tailored to what you would like to visit. Guide may suggest a stop at a rug factory or jewelry. Unless interested in purchasing something, best to decline. Habib was a wonderful guide, very informative and knowledgeable.
