You haven't truly experienced Grenada without an oil down (A national dish made with coconut milk) or brown down (a traditional stew made with brown sugar). The ingredients are cultivated and grown locally, cooked over the fire with the beach within reach.

Your very own Private Chef Kishan will be waiting for your arrival with everything needed for the best-tasting Oil Down on the island! All you need to do is enjoy the incredible scenery while your meal is cooking over a beautiful beach bonfire!

You will likely have the entire beach to yourselves, with a constant cooling breeze and tall coconut trees surrounding the most ideal beach chill spot ever!

Down a bumpy local road you will find a secret beach, where locals hang out and visitors are welcomed.

The cab drops you off right next to the beach, where chef Kishan will be set up and waiting to welcome you !

We will cook one pot of your choice on the beach, overfire the way it should be cooked! Swim and enjoy the sun, there is plenty of shade at this location as well as benches for your comfort. The price includes three beers per person, water, and up to two helpings from the pot. Transportation is at your cost taxi or your rental car. Chef Kishan doesn’t have a car so it would be ideal if you met the chef at the grocery store at Six Road and gave him a ride down to the beach with all the gear. Only a ten-minute drive to Cabier Beach from the grocery store. This will also give you a chance to grab extra beer or snacks you may want.

Oildown is the national dish made with breadfruit, carrots, okra, chicken, turkey all covered in coconut milk with callalou layers.

Brown Down

Stew of meat and veggies made by caramelizing local brown sugar, before the meat is added to the pot, your choice of chicken turkey or sea food.
