  This tour was a delight experiencing a range of local food dishes expertly prepared by local chefs, using unique blend of ingredients. The traditional rice and beans was so tasty. Combined with local traditions, it made it all an authentic culinary experience. We enjoyed the vibrant food scene of San Pedro.

  “One of the top 5 tours I’ve been on in my life” from member of family who is an extensively world traveler. Ovel (our guide) was a wealth of information and outstanding at reading our family with food and tour route. At each stop he introduced us to new epicurean delights … and offered more of any of the items at each stop. We attempted to pace ourselves for future stops and still left stuffed! Post-tour he ran an errand for us and dropped it off at our hotel. I cannot speak highly enough of Ovel.

  It was culinary adventure of Belizean cuisine, beyond the typical tourist tour and we enjoyed every moment of it, as it it certainly exceeded all our expectations.

  The tour began with a delightful stroll through the vibrant streets of San Pedro, picturesque and brimming with culture. I was amazed by the range of dishes we got to sample. One standout was the Belizean classic rice and beans. We had a great time, thanks to the awesome tour guide.

  We had a great time and our host, Marva I believe, did a wonderful job! The promo for the tour said we would leave pleasantly full... We left stuffed! Six different restaurants, for which we were planning on trying so this was just a great experience. The 12 of us in the group made a nice number and we learned and tasted a lot! Not much walking and the seabreeze made it cool. I'd suggest an elastic waistband!

  Super frustrating experience with Opatrip. We booked their 4PM food tour through Viatour for tomorrow. I had to reach out to them to get more information about possible pickup spots, and also to see if an earlier tour was an option. At the same time, I started researching ferry tickets to get our family from Caye Caulker to San Pedro, where the tour leaves from. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to make the logistics work, and was about to purchase expensive ferry and private water taxi tickets. Since the agent with whom I was texting for 1.5+ hours said he was not able to find an earlier tour time, I asked if he was 100% sure our already booked/paid for 4PM tour would go. He then told me no, he was not sure, as he was not able to find guides for any time slots. What a ridiculous waste of time. Of course I was refunded, but I can’t get all that time back… I would never book with this company again.

  The tour guide knew which spots to take us for relishing Belizean cuisine. The chicken stew at one of the places was delicious and made in a style that seems to be uniquely Belizean. This tour is an adventure for any foodie.
