Your private small group tour starts with a pickup from your hotel in Helsinki if requested, or from Helsinki Market Square. You continue to the Old Market Hall where you sample Finnish delicatesses and get to browse the finest ingredients available. Here the growing season is short and frost during season rather common. The Finnish forests, however, more than make up for what is lost in terms of agricultural products, in terms of the treasure chest of berries, mushrooms and game it offers. The tour continues to a nearby brewery and bar where the local beer scene will be presented at its best. The tour ends in a classical Finnish restaurant with a traditional Finnish cooking and a bit of candy for the sweet aftertaste. Then you'll be ready roll on to your next adventure.

Our guide Ruslan was great. Friendly and very knowledgable. The mixture of seeing both the markets and restaurants made for a nice afternoon. The weather was surprisingly warm. Highly recommended.

Ruslan was a very nice person who had a lot of great historical knowledge. The problem was the food was pretty meh. I’ve done a number of food tours and the food aspect of this tour was lacking. Not worth the money for sure. We started at the food hall and got a few nibbles which was fine. Then we walked to a restaurant and had lunch there. Lunch was ok. Nothing special. It seemed like a touristy place. Then we had some chocolates from a chocolate store and had rooftop drinks. The rooftop was beautiful. But overall, the food was nothing special and nothing we wouldn’t have done on our own.

Kieto was an incredibly knowledgeable guide. We learned a lot about the city and its rich history. While the food was delicious, we felt like our guide really honed in on our interests to customize our experience. As he learned about us, we learned more about him and his kind take on the world. We’d highly recommend enjoying this “taste” of Helsinki with Kieto.

Ruslan gave us a great walking trip round the centre of Helsinki, stopping to discuss details of all places of interest. He was very friendly and well informed. He described many aspects of life in Finland today, explained details of Finnish history and answered all our questions. He took us to several locations to sample typical Finnish main dishes, snacks, sweets and beers. It was all very relaxed, informative and enjoyable and well worthwhile.

Nadia was a fantastic guide and we had a lot of fun with her. She took us to some wonderful places with delicious food, and had a lot of great information about Helsinki. We never felt rushed and got to enjoy the food at each stop and enjoy the ambience. She sent us off with great tips for other things to do and places to eat and shop. We had a great time!

Viki was really fun, knowledgeable and led us on an amazing food and beer tour. The Old Market Hall was very cool. We had a Finnish dinner and the beer tasting was so good we stayed after at the bar sampling beers
