Big Buddha Temple (Wat Phra Yai)
Island’s iconic landmark which called "Koh Faan" is located of the golden Big Buddha Temple (Wat Phra Yai). You will see Lord Buddha Statue is stting 15-meter tall on the north coast of the island. 4.00We booked the 8 h tour. Enough time to look at everything in peace. There was also time for a good lunch. Unfortunately our very nice driver didn't speak English, so ES showed us everything from the 4 hour tour, my question what else is there to see, that he could show us, unfortunately he didn't understand. He stopped at a market where we could still buy fruit, nevertheless he and almost 90 min. returned earlier to the hotel. I think we could have seen more. But nevertheless ES was pleasantly free to see the sights of the island.

5.00Wat was our private driver for the day, but he also served as a tour guide and took us to all the places we wanted to go as well as some he suggested. We had a great time and greatly appreciated his pleasant, helpful way of making sure we saw all the important places of interest on Ko Samui including the elephants and monkeys!
