  My husband and my Cotswolds & Stonehenge tour with Matt was fantastic! It was a high point of our trip to Bath, and well worth the money. He was personable, knowledgeable, professional and flexible. In short, it was a pleasure to spend the day with him. We learned a lot as he made history come alive with his engaging yet factual storytelling. We felt we had enough time in each place we visited. An unexpected bonus of the trip: My husband is into photography and was excited to see the birthplace of the photographic negative at the home of Henry Fox Talbot/Lacock Abbey.   Could not give any higher of a recommendation than to spend a day with Matt as your personal tour guide. Matt possesses an extensive breadth of historical, as well as, current knowledge, that he seamlessly shares, while fitting right in with your group for an informal and fun day. He knows his craft, and will separate fact from fiction, while fluidly adjusting the time to the personal interest(s) of your group. Best wishes, Matt, and thanks for the side visit to the 29 Caen Locks on the Kennet and Avon Canal. We're coming back to expand your territory into Wales someday soon! Randy

  We can’t say enough wonderful things about our tour through the Cotswolds and on to Stonehenge. Our guide, Matt, was really very knowledgeable. Matt had everything covered. We learned so much about the area that it just made us start asking questions we didn’t even know we would have. Matt is so friendly and very easy to talk to. We all felt like friends by the end of the tour. It was an intimate, beautiful tour. Matt went above and beyond to make sure we were engaged and having a great time! Matt also gave us some great recommendations for restaurants for Sunday Roast. And he wasn’t wrong! You’d be doing yourself a disservice by not booking this tour. Worth every penny!

  Matt was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable and we learnt so much about the history of the places we visited. We had 3 generations of family members in our group & Matt also made sure everyone was well taken care of throughout.   Chance brought us to Matthias and we could not have hoped for anything better. It started with a pick-up in style from our hotel and right away we were immersed in lots of useful information about everything around us on our way to the first stop. Matthias pays attention to every detail and has just the right amount of personal touch mixed in with a tremendous amount of knowledge. The Cotswolds were amazing with him as our guide. He made it not only interesting but also exciting, explaining all the mystery and science behind Stonehenge for instance which was at the end of our day, adding in the latest information to add to the experience. A trip to remember!

  We had the best time on this tour! Matthias was an excellent guide and was very knowledgeable. He gave us alot of great information not only about the places we visited, but about the surrounding area. He also booked us a great lunch at a local restaurant. Will definitely do one of his tours again when I’m in the area.

  Being able to have such a personalized tour is fantastic. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable of the areas visited and told us many stories that we would have not heard otherwise. Visiting two beautiful Cotswolds villages made it worthwhile alone, then seeing Stonehenge and being told of the history and lore of the landmark is the cherry on top. We travelled in a comfortable and very clean people mover making the day even easier. It does take a full day, but you are only wanting more when you are done.

  My daughters and I wanted a flexible, individualized tour and that’s exactly what we found with Mattias. From our initial email contact until our final drop off he was a responsive, accommodating, fun and engaging guide. He was very knowledgeable about the areas we toured, sharing both historical, cultural and current information about Stonehenge, the Cotswolds and the areas surrounding them. He is an excellent historian who answered our numerous questions and through his narrative we could actually imagine what Stonehenge must have been like so long ago. We traveled to several Cotswolds villages and felt he showed us a really good representation of the region. We were able to visit with several of the locals he was acquainted with and enjoyed a delicious lunch he had scheduled at a local inn. Because Matt is from the area, he could share more personalized details and stories. Not only did he plan our day to be exactly what we had asked for but he also provided other information for various sites and offered great suggestions for activities and dining places during the rest of our stay. His photography skills were greatly appreciated as he graciously obliged when we asked him to take copious family photos during the day! The tour was beyond our expectations and certainly one of the highlights of our trip to England. By the end of the day’s journey not only had we learned and experienced a lot about the places we had visited but we had also become friends with a wonderful human being! Quoting Mark Twain “Find a job you enjoy doing and you will never have to work a day in your life”. It is very obvious that Mattias has found his calling!

  Our guided tour with Mattias was an absolute blast! From exploring Stonehenge to seeing the darling Cotswold towns, the day was filled with laughter and joy. He provided helpful recommendations for the rest of our time in Bath, as well. Matt's friendly demeanor and humorous anecdotes made the journey even more enjoyable. It was like having a knowledgeable family member show us around for the day and he fit right into our family. We couldn't have asked for a better guide! I traveled with my mom and two adult sisters and it was definitely a highlight of our UK trip. Wish he could transport himself on all our adventures as our guide! We'll cherish the memories for years to come. Thanks, Matt, for an unforgettable experience!

  A tour like I had never experienced before! Matthias of Galahad Tours is a walking, talking encyclopedia who is friendly, filled with enthusiasm, and has great sense of humor. Anyone can see how much he LOVES history and his work! He was more up to date with information about Stonehenge than some of their exhibits! Not only that, but it seemed like you were catching up with an old friend and having fun exploring. I felt safe the entire time. I am extremely satisfied and happy I booked this tour.Booking through their site was an easy task.I booked this tour solo, and he reached out to ensure that everything was correct. Wonderful customer service right there! The cherry on top was that the guest(s) would not have to worry about transportation to and from their hotel IF the hotel was within approved postcodes of BA1 or BA2, otherwise, you'd meet up at the Bath Spa train station.I was within BA2. For folks who worry about water and restrooms, fear not! Matthias picks you up in an immaculate vehicle, each cup holder with an unopened bottle of water, and plenty of restroom options at every stop. The entire trip was STRESS FREE! Please wear comfortable shoes, because you will be walking. If you are going to tour the Cotswolds and Stonehenge, DO IT RIGHT! GALAHAD TOURS IS DOING IT RIGHT! I did NOT want the generic crowded bus tour with a guide who may or may not be digital, and being at the mercy of a bus schedule. What is the fun in that? When I return to the UK for a visit, I am definitely booking another tour with Galahad Tours. Who knows, I may make this an annual adventure! Thank you for doing what you do, Matthias. You are one cool dude, good sir!
