Here we are travel from Muscat to Nizwa- the Ancient Capital of Oman to get a stunning view from the round tower of 17th Century fort and visit to Nizwa Souk famous traditional silver jewelry antiques and then move forward to Bahla to view the Art of traditional post making. Then proceed to Jabrin Castle, one of the most beautiful forts of Oman which is famous for its unique painting and ancient utensils.

Nizwa Fort Oman
Nizwa Fortress. The fort is a museum today and offers splendid views of this ancient town and the surrounding mountains. You can walk around in this impressive fortress and visit its many rooms, passages, and towers. The fort is an architectural testimony to the economic and military achievements of the early Yaruba dynasty from the mid-17th century. It was a military stronghold designed to withstand even the strongest of attacks at the time. Even along the corridors, many traps were laid to deter any intruders that might have penetrated the defenses.

5.00What a wonderful time we had thanks to our wonderful guide Abdulrahman, took us everywhere always with a smile. Showed us the hidden alleys, view points, etc. Very well organised tours, excellent cars and again, the best guide. We will recommend them with our eyes closed.

5.00Our 3 days of various excursions in and outside Muscat were amazing, from nature to cities, sea side , villages, fantastic view points and so on, a big thank you to our guide/driver, Abdul Rahman, who made this trip a wonderful experience and for driving us around safely, without him it would not have been the same .
Highly recommended tour - Nizwa and Jebel Akhdar is a must see

5.00Amazing day with the Private Tour - Star Tour. Highly recommended. Our guide is Mr Munir. I don’t know where he got his energy from but he’s so enthusiastic and took care of us so well. Nothing is ever too troublesome. Impeccable timing is another high quality of this guide. Mr Munir took us to Nizwa Souq where my wife and I got too absorbed in shopping. The Date shop was incredible- good value and yummy dates. You must also tried the Tahina , the sesame paste…. Then off to Nizwa Fort. A great museum but really crowded. The view from the top was great. We enjoyed climbing the tower, with all the military tricks on display. We had the Omani bread there, with demonstration. Then Jebel Akhdar - breath taking view. Mr Munir took us to a special spot to see the view and the fossils of fish and corals. We had a good cup of coffee at Diana’s point. The coffee is good but a little too sweet for my liking. But the Hisbiscus tea (cold) was excellent. Then we were off to see the UNESCO World Heritage listed irrigation system - ingenious. The guide took us to see the sunset at Birkat Al Mouz (water of banana) - oh my god, it was spectacular. Oh did I mention the views that we stopped along the way to see. You must come to Oman and visit Nizwa. The people are beautiful and friendly.

5.00Yes, definitely worth the money. Ali was excellent and helped me navigate through the different venues and gave great commentary about the cultural and history of the places we visited. He went the extra mile. It was an excellent day.

5.00We had such a wonderful private tour in Nizwa with our guide, Muneer! He was super friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole day really enjoyable. We visited an old fort, explored a beautiful city in the mountains, and even stopped by some lovely farms. Muneer shared so much interesting information about the history and culture, and he took us to some amazing spots with wonderful views. Everything was well-organized and relaxed — we never felt rushed, just had a great time learning and taking in the views. Highly recommend this tour (and Muneer!) if you want to experience the real beauty of Oman.

5.00We had an excellent day with Aziz visiting Jebel Shams and Nizwa. We begin the day visiting the local souq in Fanja before continuing on to the old town of Misfad al Abrieen and Jebel Shams. In the late afternoon we arrived in Nizwa where we explored the souqs, castle and fort, and enjoyed the band who playing in the castle square. Aziz was very knowledgable, and made our visit very comfortable and enjoyable. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this trip.

5.00We had a great day out with Aziz, who drove us safely up to Jebel Shams, stopping at two charming villages along the way. We then went to Nizwa where Aziz gave us a very comprehensive tour of the fort and castle, and also of the souq. Aziz timed everything perfectly, allowing us to see the band perform in the fort and explore the souq while it was the buzziest. We also enjoyed trying out Omani bread, honey and tea.

5.00We had two wonderful days with our guide, Youssef — first in Nizwa and Jebel Shams, and then exploring the desert and Wadi. I highly recommend booking a tour with Youssef! He is extremely customer-oriented, knowledgeable, and friendly. We had such a great time together, and he shared with us many of the hidden secrets of Oman. An unforgettable experience!
