Skip crowded buses and rushed schedules and enjoy a private, flexible day trip from Bucharest into the heart of Transylvania. Travel at your own pace, with personal attention, scenic routes, and time to truly experience Romania’s most famous landmarks.
Leave Bucharest behind and journey through the scenic Prahova Valley, heading toward the Carpathian Mountains. Your first stop is Sinaia, known as the “Pearl of the Carpathians,” where you visit Peleș Castle, the former summer residence of the Romanian Royal Family, set in a beautiful mountain forest.
Continue to Bran Castle, often called “Dracula’s Castle,” and explore the stories, legends, and historical realities connected to Vlad the Impaler and medieval Transylvania.
The day concludes in Brașov, one of Romania’s most charming medieval towns. Enjoy time in the Old Town, with its cobblestone streets, colorful houses, and rich Saxon heritage, before returning comfortably to Bucharest.

Peles Castle
We will visit the Pearl of the Carpahians, as is called this beautiful castle. The summer residence of the Romanian Royal family is a must see in any season.
Bran Castle
This medieval fortress built 1212 by the Teutonic Knights is also known as Dracula’s Castle and in this trip you will find out why.

Entry fees for the castles. Peles Castle entry fee is 100 lei per person and Bran Castle is 90 lai the standard ticket or 150 lei Fast Lane. You can choose to see them from outside.

5.00Our guide Emanuel was super friendly and professional. He is very well informed about Romania’s history and pointed out little gems along the journey. He certainly kept us entertained throughout the journey. As for the landmarks, it was nice to see contrasts between Peles Castle and Bran Castle given the different time periods of their construction and the quaint city centre of Brasov gave us a nice escape from the hustle and bustle of Bucharest. Definitely recommend!

5.00Really great day trip with Adrian. We got to see Pele’s castle and Bran (Dracula’s) castle and really enjoyed both. Weather was great. Long drive from Bucharest but worth it. Highly recommend!

5.00Can’t recommend this day trip with Emmanuel enough! It is absolutely worth doing a private tour over a group tour for this trip - it saves a ton of time and you have more flexibility. Emmanuel was fantastic - so knowledgable about Romania’s history, a great sense of humour and a brilliant guide. We had the best day with him! We drove for 1hr30 to Peleş Castle, approx 1hr to Bran Castle and then approx 30 mins to Braşov. We had plenty of time in each place to tour and see everything, with Emmanuel being totally flexible on meeting us when we were done. Our drive back to Bucharest was approx 3hrs (Sunday traffic!), but on all of our drives, Emmanuel was taking interesting routes, showing us different towns and communities and giving us a wealth of fascinating information. We were out for 12hrs in total - it’s a full day so don’t try to make any more plans that day. Overall a brilliant day and strongly recommend taking this private tour with Emmanuel!
