Before we go into DMZ area and do ID Check, will look through 3 stops - Brdige of freedom, Mangbaedan Altar, Steam locomotive destroyed during Korean war in Imjingak Park. Imjingak was built in 1972 for the benefit of displaced North Koreans. It is at the end of National Road No. 1, which civilians can access.
Mangbaedan is an altar where North Korean refugees in the South hold ancestral rites on the two biggest national holidays to their parents and grandparents left behind in the North.

5.00PLK provided a comfortable private tour for our family of 6. Messages were quick and concise, and answered all of our queries. They catered to our needs perfectly and were prompt and thoughtful. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the conversations and insight throughout the journey. The only addition that could have made it better, would have been lunch included for the private tour package. We will book again if any other family or friends visit.

5.00Our group had an excellent experience with Won. If we could give it more than 5 stars, we would. Won picked us up at our hotel in a very nice clean car and immediately was a great conversationalist. He was very forthcoming with the details of the day. Every part of the experience was seamless and Won was very knowledgeable and eager to answer any of our questions, he is a very charismatic tour guide that made our day very relaxed and fun.

5.00We had a fantastic time on our tour today through PLK Travel with our guide Alex. He picked us up promptly at our hotel, and we were off to the DMZ. After a short tour at the peace park, we proceeded to see all sites as advertised. Alex made the experience a memorable one, and enjoyed our 8 hours throughout the day with him. The private tour option was great to ask questions, and get picked up directly from our hotel. Thank you again for sharing your country and culture with us Alex!

5.00The tour was absolutely interesting. Our guide Joseph was so nice and provided us so much information on the DMZ and it‘s history. Everything went so smoothly and we gotted picked up from our hotel in a big modern car. Highlight was definitely both the observatory platform where we could see North Korea and also our Guide Joseph! Thx so much for that experience!

5.00Marie was our private DMZ tour guide. She was highly organized and prompt in responses. We had an early start for Marie wanted to ensure we would take a morning bus to the 3rd tunnel site before the bus crowd. She had great historical and cultural knowledge. She knew the best spots to take pictures and shared great insights about the area. Marie shared great tips and watch-outs before we walked down to the 3rd tunnel. We had a memorable time and great visit with Marie!
