5.00After booking Hugo’s Porto tour in his Kombi VW van, which was thoroughly enjoyed by me and my wife, my two boys (11 and 13), and my 82 year old dad, we decided to book Hugo again for his Douro Valley tour. We all ended up befriending Hugo (especially my father - oh boy he and Hugo sure did chat about VWs and classic cars while my dad rode shotgun). The Douro Valley trip was an amazing day! A short stop in beautiful Amarante then onto two wineries hand picked by Hugo that entertained the whole family, a Portuguese feast for lunch, amazing views, great wine, and a cool short boat ride. His driving skills were put to the test in both Porto and Douro and I was so glad to have him behind the wheel. We appreciated his driving skills and personal attention and insider knowledge so much that we asked if he’d consider creating a van tour of the Galicia region of Spain just over the border. Let me tell you - Hugo picked some beautiful spots for the Galicia trip including an amazing waterfront seafood lunch. We otherwise would have rented a car and wouldn’t have been able to enjoy the Douro Valley or Galicia or find the hidden spots as much as we were with Hugo leading the way. If you are looking for a one of a kind tour of Douro Valley, Porto or the surrounding area with a guide passionate about the region, book Hugo! A+ 5 stars.

5.00Hugo provided us with a fantastic experience in the Douro Valley. He was knowledgeable, kind and a joy to spend the day with. The views, food and Quinta visits were great. The day ended with a peaceful and beautiful boat ride on the Duoro.

5.00We loved our 1 day experience to the Douro Valley. Our guide, Hugo was simply wonderful. He was so helpful with my wife especially who has a bad leg. The two wineries he took us to, were smaller and very quaint with wonderful, friendly hosts. The views were spectacular. We also enjoyed our first stop for a coffee break in Amarante. As well as a nice lunch in a traditional Portuguese restaurant. The day ended with a nice boat cruise on the Douro. It was just a wonderful day that we will remember for years to come. Thank you Hugo !!!

5.00Just spent 2 delightful days in Porto and Duoro Valley with Hugo and he is AMAZING! His passion for his country, extensive knowledge of anything and everything and great sense of humor made this experience the highlight of our trip. You do not want to miss out on this grand adventure from discovering Porto in his open air Volkswagen bus, tasting delicious wines, savoring local cuisine to flying down one lane cobblestone streets in the Douro Valley. This is an exquisite countryside that you must experience.

5.00Duro Valley is one of the most incredible sites to behold. Absolutely beautiful with incredible wineries and restaurants. Our guide Hugo made the day so special. He’s incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and connected. His Mercedes van was very comfortable and he made sure our every need was taken care of. Strongly recommend with experience in Duro with Hugo as your guide!!

5.00We had our tour with Hugo. He was great! Very informative, funny and professional. He took plenty of pictures for us and made our first time in Porto exceptional and memorable. The 2 wineries we went to were fun and intimate. We ended the tour with a relaxing boat ride. I would recommend Hugo as a tour guide! :)
