The Gdansk Shakespeare Theatre
The Gdansk Shakespeare Theatre is a Shakespearean theatre in Gdansk, Poland. It is built on the site of a 17th-century theatre, known as the Fencing School, where English travelling players performed works of English Renaissance theatre. It was built by architect Renato Rizzi in the light of Limon's research which suggests that the Fencing School was modelled on the Fortune Playhouse in London. Though not an attempt at an exact reproduction, the new theatre combines elements from the design of these earlier theatres with modern technology. It opened in September 2014.
Brama Wyzynna
The Highland Gate, formerly also known as the "High Gate" was once the main entrance to Gdansk, while being a defensive object. It was within its walls that Polish kings were solemnly welcomed and keys to the city were handed to them. The gate was built in the years 1574 - 1576 according to the design of Jan Kramer. It was located in the western part of modern Gdańsk fortifications, which in the past also included a high earth rampart, reinforced with powerful bastions.

5.00The two of us spent a brilliant hour touring Gdansk in a buggy with a guide and driver. We felt very snug, despite a butter wind. Our tour was personalised and we got some great recommendations for the rest of our holiday. For those alone, it was worth the money. Both the guide and the driver peppered their more formal commentary with personal stories and tips, which were fascinating. Definitely a 5 star experience

5.00The city tour through Gdańsk by buggy was truly an absolute highlight of our trip! From the very beginning, everything was perfectly organized, and the buggy itself was comfortable, safe, and ideal for discovering the city in a unique way. Our tour guide was simply fantastic – incredibly friendly, highly knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the history and culture of Gdańsk. He managed to present even the smallest details in a way that was both engaging and entertaining, so you didn’t just see the city, you truly experienced it. The route was excellently planned: we explored not only the well-known landmarks but also hidden corners that we would probably never have discovered on our own. What impressed us most was how flexible the tour was – our interests were taken into account at all times. Overall, it was a perfect mix of fun, information, and unique impressions. I can highly recommend this buggy tour to anyone who wants to experience Gdańsk in a special and unforgettable way. Absolutely 5 stars!
