Al ‘Āmrāt or Al Amirat is a city in Muscat, in northeastern Oman. Al Amarat is the fifth most populated province in the Muscat Governorate after Muscat itself, As Seeb, Bawshar and Muttrah. Al Amarat is categorized as a Wilayat with its own Wali office, municipality, police station, and government offices.
Mohammed Al Ameen Mosque
Mohammed Al Ameen Mosque (Photo Stop Only) is a marble-clad marvel located off the Southern Expressway, at a height of 62.5 meters above sea level in Oman. Construction of the mosque commenced in the year 2008 and was completed in 2014. The construction activity brought together designers, materials, technologies, artists and suppliers from Iran, Italy, Germany, Austria, India and the UK. It rests on an area of 20,300 sq. m. The main Prayer Hall is 1616 sq. m. and can accommodate 2,100 people. The Chandeliers – Main Prayer Hall is 11-metre tall and the Ladies Prayer Hall is 4.5 meter tall, are finished with 24-karat gold plating and Swarovski crystals. (Photo Stop Only)

Excellent night tour of Muscat

5.00We had a great four hour night tour of Muscat with Ahmed who really looked after us. He picked us up from our hotel and drove us to a number of interesting places such as the great mosque, the Sultan's palace, fort, opera house and the souk. He took lots of photos of us, bought us drinks such as Karak Chai tea, the famous and traditional Omani sweet called Halwaas, and a delicious meal of Khubz Ragag - a local bread dish often eaten at breakfast. However the highlight for us was the souk where he took us to all sorts of different stalls and helped us barter with the stall holders. It was a really fun and interesting tour. Ahmed is very kind and knowledgeable.

5.00My Muscat city tour with sunset with Oman Landscape Tours was a wonderful and very personal experience, made special by the people behind it. Mr. Moosa, my guide, was truly excellent. Knowledgeable, professional, and extremely attentive, he went above and beyond to tailor the tour to my interests. Knowing that I am passionate about perfumes, he kindly took me to several perfumeries, patiently exploring different options with me until I finally found my favorite scent. This level of care and flexibility made the experience feel genuinely personal. Throughout the afternoon, he also shared insightful explanations about Muscat’s history, culture, and daily life, helping me understand the city beyond its landmarks and giving real meaning to each stop. Everything ran smoothly thanks to Ms. Analiza, who handled the logistics perfectly. The itinerary was well organized and well paced, allowing the day to flow naturally and ending with a beautiful sunset at just the right moment. This tour was a perfect combination of discovery, personal attention, and memorable moments. Oman Landscape Tours once again delivered a high-quality private experience that felt thoughtful and authentic. A truly enjoyable and unique way to experience Muscat—made even more special by the small details that really matter.

5.00We made a private 4 hour tour of Muscat in the evening. Our guide Jihad was very friendly and attentive. He gave us a lot of information about the sights and life of the Omanis. We were very impressed by his competent nature and would book this tour again. We also found the joint visit to a local fish restaurant nice at the end. Thanks again to Jihad for this experience.
