As AJ, an art historian and licensed tour guide, leads your family through Rome’s open-air museum, your adventure begins with a special mission—finding hidden animals across the city’s statues, buildings, and piazzas. Along the way, you’ll even encounter some of Rome’s real feline residents at a historic cat sanctuary, with the chance to meet and even pet these friendly cats! Equipped with a list of animals to spot, your children will explore with fresh eyes, turning every corner into an exciting discovery. With each find, AJ will share fascinating stories behind these artistic details, bringing Roman history and architecture to life. Then, inspired by their discoveries, your kids will get creative with a fun art task right on the spot, using the provided art supplies and comfy cushions. Parents are encouraged to join in, making this a shared family experience.

5.00I’m so glad we booked our scavenger hunt with AJ—it was easily one of the best activities we did during our time in Italy (and we did quite a few!). The kids, ages 5 to 8, were completely engaged and excited the entire time as we explored the city. AJ struck the perfect balance of fun, entertainment, and education. The experience was so memorable that the kids are still talking about the facts they learned. She was also incredibly flexible, making sure both the kids and adults in our group were having a great time. When we asked the kids about their favorite part of the trip, they all said the art hunt with AJ! I don’t usually write reviews, but this experience stood out so much that I felt compelled to recommend it to others—definitely book with AJ!

5.00AJ was such an engaging guide with our kids (aged 7 and 10) and with us adults as well. We all had an amazing time with her! She told us facts in a way the children understood and made it interesting for all. We continued to look for the scavenger hunt animals after we departed from her. It was a joy to spend time with her and we all were sad for her to leave us. We wished we could have hung out with her the rest of the day! The time went by so quickly.

5.00We had the most wonderful experience doing a scavenger hunt art workshop with AJ in Rome. It was such a perfect way to see the highlights of the city while keeping our child genuinely engaged and excited the whole time. AJ has an amazing way with kids she turned famous sights into stories, games, and creative moments that made Rome come alive for our child, not just feel like another sightseeing stop. The scavenger hunt kept things fun and interactive, and the art activities gave our child a chance to slow down, observe, and create, which made the experience feel really meaningful. It was the perfect balance of learning, exploring, and having fun. As parents, we loved seeing Rome through our child’s eyes and appreciated how thoughtful and relaxed the whole experience felt. If you’re visiting Rome with kids and want something memorable, creative, and stress-free, I can’t recommend AJ’s workshop enough.

5.00Super friendly and made Rome’s art and history really fun for both kids and adults. The “find the hidden animals” game kept my kids excited the whole way (the cat sanctuary was a highlight!), and the little art activity at the end was the perfect touch. We left happy, with cute artworks to take home and really lovely family memories.

5.00We had the best time on this Rome adventure with AJ! From the Trevi Fountain to the Pantheon, every stop felt like stepping into an open-air museum—made even more magical by AJ’s stories and eye for all the tiny details we’d normally walk right past. The “hidden animals” mission was such a brilliant idea: the kids were completely hooked, spotting creatures in statues, buildings, and piazzas (and yes—meeting Rome’s famous feline residents was a total highlight 🐾). And the on-the-spot art activity was the perfect finale—comfy cushions, great supplies, and a chance for everyone (including the parents!) to create together. We left with happy, inspired kids, adorable artworks to take home, and memories we’ll be talking about for a long time. Thank you, AJ, for such a fun, thoughtful, and truly unforgettable experience!

5.00We attended the Private Scavenger Hunt Art Lab for Families – With Rome’s Landmarks, and it was one of the highlights of our trip! The experience was beautifully organized — a perfect mix of creativity, discovery, and fun. The scavenger hunt around Rome’s landmarks made learning about the city exciting for kids, while the art lab allowed them to express what they saw in their own unique way. The instructor AJ was fantastic — patient, knowledgeable, and so engaging with the children. They managed to balance education and entertainment perfectly. The atmosphere was warm and inspiring, and the whole experience felt very personal and well thought out.
