Be awed by seeing the biggest and most impressive moai statues ever built by the ancient Easter Island civilization. Visit fallen statues in the southwest, and see how they grow in size as we approach the eastern side of the island, where virtually all moai originated from.
Enjoying the personalized experience of having a guide of your own, you will have all the time in the world for questions, and you'll be able to have the tour adjust to your taste and liking.
The itinerary is highly optimized to visit the sites with best possible light conditions for photography, and with the least amount of crowds around.

Ahu Vinapu
The most perfectly fit rock wall, Ahu Tahira, is found in this area. It was engineered with such skill that many draw conclusions on contact with the Inca Empire.
Ahu Vinapu
Hanga Poukura: Close to Vinapu we have the area of Hanga Poukura. This is a beautiful coastal area of interesting, rough lava rock formations has several unique features. Several statues are in a strange and mysterious manner buried in a line, with only the backs being visible. The ahu is one of the most well-made ever with blocks that are cut for a better fit. Hanga Poukura area also has an amazing natural phenomena that has been occurring constantly since this these areas were created by lava flows almost a million years ago - a blowhole. The blowhole of Hanga Poukura is one of the best ones of Rapa Nui, and when the ocean is right, water will spurt up into the air as waves come in.

Our local guide Andres was exceptional and extremely knowledgeable. We were very pleased to have been able to have Andres as our guide for two full days on the island.

Marcus gave us the best tour ever! We started at dawn at Tongariki and he then took us to all the major sites of the island, ending at Orongo. Marcus has a deep knowledge of the history and legends of the island, but he also gave us an insight into modern life. He even speaks Rapanui, which shows his commitment to the place and its culture. He is flexible, don't be afraid to ask for a quote with additions or tour combinations. Finally, he does everything online, which we found especially useful. I recommend without any reservations.

I am so fortunate to have discovered Easter Island Travel! I did 3 tours with them and cannot be happier. Marcus, the owner of the company, promptly answered all my e-mails and questions, and gave useful suggestions on which tours to take to experience the island fully. My guide for all 3 tours was Angelo; he knows so much about the history of Rapa Nui, grove the vehicle safely and made the tours truly worthwhile. Angelo loves his island and shared a lot of his life there, which made me appreciate this magical place even more. If you are looking for your travel agency, Easter Island Travel should be your choice, you will nor regret it! Thank you for unforgettable experiences!

We did a full-day tour with Marcus, going to the main sites in south-west (Oronko etc), centre (Puna Pau, Akivi) and south (Tongariki, Rano Kau). Marcus is an excellent guide with deep knowledge of the island’s history as well as its present day. He was very flexible about the arrangement, which we appreciated as we had limited time on the island and wanted to make the most of it. I wholeheartedly recommend.

My wife and I had the good fortune of taking three different tours with Easter Island Travel in February of 2020. The first two tours covered the North and West highlights and the South and East Highlights. Franco was our guide and he was excellent. He was proud of his Rapa Nui ancestry and explained in great detail the history of the island and the special culture that led to the building and destruction of the Moai statutes. These were full day tours and each day we had the pleasure of a home cooked lunch served at the Hanga Roa residence of the tour company owner, Alicia Ika, and her husband, Marcus. Alicia, herself of Rapanui descent, is an accomplished dancer and singer/songwriter. She put on a lovely vocal performance at the end of one of our lunches. They treated my wife and I like family. Our third tour was another all day tour, this time covering hidden gems rarely seen by tourists. Maeva was our guide and she traces her lineage back to the first king of Rapa Nui. Again her knowledge of the island and its culture was truly amazing. Rapa Nui is such a special place and pictures don't do it justice. You have to go and see it for yourself and I highly recommend Easter Island Travel. Mike & Dorothy - Lake Tahoe, NV and Honolulu, HI
