• Great day on the Mazu with Captain JP!

  We are four couples staying on St. John. The private full day sail was a great way to explore the island and Captain JP took great care of us! The Mazu worked great but it was a little rough around the edges. We highly recommend!

  The experience it self was nice, only because the group I was with made the best of it. We paid for a 40ft boat and was put on a 36 got boat. the crew member name was Alex and he was very rude a passive aggressive. The boat was dirty and not only that 5 minutes into the ride an alarm started sounded and this man says “oh sh*t” then starts panicking. He told us to shut up as he was trying to figure out why that alarm was on. He called someone, a man showed up with second boat and offered to switch boats and Alex told them we were fine. Meanwhile the actual boat and dinghy we were using to get dropped off/ picked up at the beach was stuttering and cutting. The alarm was on because the boat was filing up with water. He didn’t offer us any beverages until we got to the first stop which was approximately 1hr. We debarked late, then stopped I the middle of the ocean due to the alarm. The whole excursion was rushed because he knew the boat was messed up we got back a half hour early than scheduled. I called to complain to the manager and she told me that we were too drunk to remember anything. The only drink offered was rum punch and 6/8 people on my group turn it down bc it was nasty. He offered us one cup of water and that was all. The man was just flat out nasty and came off prejudice bc when we got to the “turtles” he stopped the boat and told us we had to swim to the buoy that was 150ft away from the boat, refusing to allow passengers to use the floating noodle. We asked if he had nausea medication and Alex told us that it was a drug free/ smoke free environment but we saw him take two identify pills. Do not book this excursion.

• Perfect day cruising the islands

  This was the perfect day! Our captain JP was an excellent captain who was very warm, knowledgeable and safety conscious. Our original catamaran had motor problems prior to the cruise, so they upgraded us to a larger boat free of charge. We were taken to spectacular snorkeling sites that were easy for our beginner snorkeling kids to navigate, and they enjoyed seeking and finding nurse sharks, rays, and parrot fish. We took a stop at one of the most perfect beaches in St John with powdery sand and crystal clear waters, then stopped at a nearby beach club area for lunch. Jamie joined our crew at the last minute and was enormously loved by the family — diving in the water to help the kids find snorkeling spots, getting conch shells for my daughter, making sure everyone had enough drinks throughout the cruise. Having a former veteran nurse on board was also very reassuring — make her a permanent crew member! We could not have asked for more from the day and greatly appreciate the captain and crew for making it happen.

  Captain JP provided a day we will not soon forget! We visited amazing snorkeling sites and had a delicious lunch. We could not have asked for a better day or a better captain sailing the catamaran in the beautiful waters St. Thomas and St. John!

  The goal of taking a private charter was to have a whole day in the waters of St. Thomas and St. John's with just our family of 5. Our Captain was JP and he was fantastic! We snorkled in different spots, had lunch on the beach at St. John's, visited beaches on St. John's. The whole day was a great time and we would definitely do it again!

  I only gave it 2 stars because of the captain he did good explaining the area. The website sure does paint a pretty picture of the old tired boat. It you want to spend half of the day just traveling in the boat getting to your spots then this is the boat for you. 10mph took us almost 1.5 hrs to get to the first beach. Almost 4hrs travel time. Waste of money but now I know better after seeing every other boat other there pass us. There was no other slower boat in the water.

  I really wanted to love this experience, but I didn’t. The communication was 5 star, but the rest was not. There were 5 of us and none of us had snorkeled before but were excited to try it. We had originally booked the 50’ catamaran but got a call that one of the engines went out so we settled for a 35’. The boat looked a lot better online than it did in person. It was a rough ride out of the marina and then we got to our snorkeling spot. We were supposed to be able to see lots of fish but we drifted quite a ways and it was like the captain didn’t even realize it. We weren’t wanting to venture very far from the boat so that was an issue. The captains seemed more interested in talking to each other than paying attention to us. If we needed anything we had to wait for a break in their conversation to get their attention. We really weren’t seeing anything in the water and finally had to ask them to move us to a better spot. There were no offers to take pictures when we were all in the water. I had to ask one of them to hand me one of our phones. I didn’t feel like they were trying to make sure we had a good time. For the amount of money we spent I expected a lot more. The captains were very nice, but not sure customer service is the right industry for them. There were also times that I felt like they didn’t know what they were doing

  We had a great day on the boat spent with family and two 3 year olds. JW was an excellent captain knowledgeable about the island and helpful with the itinerary although I would have liked it more customized and able to go exactly where I wanted. JW did a great job working out that situation.

  Had a great day, great captain also Justin!! did a fantastic job of taking us around and being a wealth of knowledge!! Kind of rim is very clean comfortable.

  Had a great day with our group of 13 with two catamarans. Our captains took us to beautiful Scott Beach for snorkeling and swimming and then to a hidden gem, the Lovango resort for lunch. Good music, friendly captains, plenty of drinks- a very fun day and great way to get a taste of St John.
