Jebel Shams It is known as Jabal Shams because it is the first place to receive sunrise in Oman due to its high peak. It is the highest mountain of the Hajar range and the country. The mountain is a popular sightseeing area located 240 km (150 mi) from Muscat.

We will depart Muscat at early morning and we will go directly to visit the Jebel Shams. We will have a short time to have a photo stop at Al Hamra views. Then we continue to drive to the top of jebel shams. before we start the balkony walk hiking we will have a photo stop from the grand canyon top view. The balcony walk Enjoy this 5.2-mile out-and-back trail near Al Dakhliyah Governorate, Ad Dakhiliyah. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 4 h 33 min to complete. This trail is great for hiking and walking.

5/5 – Unforgettable trek to Jebel Shams! We had a spectacular trek to Jebel Shams and the experience was really beyond expectations. Our guide, Yassir, was exceptional: helpful, attentive and above all very prepared. Throughout the walk he told us many interesting facts about Omani culture, village history and local life, always with a touch of sympathy that made the day even more enjoyable. The route was impressive and scenic, with breathtaking views of the canyon and truly magical spots. A trekking within reach, but that gives strong emotions and unique landscapes. Highly recommended to those who want to discover an authentic and fascinating side of Oman! 🌄✨

This was an amazing experience with the best guide Yassar. Just the road to Jebel shams was an adventure and the hike had the best View with the canyon the altitude, high steep cliffs and sun. Thank you for a perfect day.

It was amazing, my guide and I were hiking for a few hours. I still can’t realize I’ve visited place I’ve saved many-many times ago. It was so exciting that I have to go back there The guide was very friendly and polite. At the end of the road and before going back we ate cool grapes. Mr.Waled was my tour guide and I thank you for your sense of humor, your vitality and accuracy

Incredible adventure! There are no mountains in my country, so trekking in Jebel Shams was at the top of my to-do list in Oman. A huge thank you to my guide, Yasser, who shared so much about Oman's historical past and how Oman people live today. The views of the canyon were breathtaking, the route kept me curious at every turn. We also got to see a hidden lake! I was a bit tired at the end, but it was worth it!

The Balcony walk is one of the most beautiful hiking paths in Jabal Shams. The itinerary passes by amazing landscapes including the grand canyon of Oman. It is not difficult and does not require special experience or equipment. You only need comfortable shoes. The tour guide, Khalfan, was very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour for everyone who visits the Nizwa region or Jabal Shams.

The guided balcony hiking at Jebel Shams is an absolute must-do when visiting Oman. The view is spectaculair and breathtaking, and the hike is really nice and not extremely hard. Do the hike with a guide, our guide Achmed lead us through the whole trip very safe and knew a lot about the surroundings that he shared with us - it made the trip unforgettable!

After a scenic drive from Muscat, we embarked on the awe-inspiring Balcony Walk. The panoramic views of the Wadi Ghoul canyon were simply breathtaking. As we reached the trail's end, we were captivated by the well-preserved ruins of ancient homes and remnants of bygone farms. Our guide, Waleed, was exceptional. His deep knowledge of Oman's history and culture, coupled with his gracious sharing of valuable travel tips, made our first day in the country truly memorable.
