Experience the superb wines of the biggest wine region of South Africa, Stellenbosch, but also the wines of the beautiful Franschhoek Valley. This journey takes you through the old colonial towns of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, exploring the history of these towns. Many a time this tour has be compared with the tour of Napa Valley but the beauty of this circular tour is unsurpassed. We are very flexible and clients may even visit the vineyards of their choice on recommendation
You will you see the beautiful vineyards and taste the exceptional wines of 3 vineyards – minimum 15 different wines and your guide will do city tours and make numerous photo-stops in the mountains en route.
This is not all. Lunch booking (own account) will be made on a wine estate offering spectacular views of picturesque landscapes. We determine your wine palate at pickup then we decide on the vineyards to visit.

5.00Myself and my husband were a bit apprehensive of doing a private wine tour, as we know very little about wine. Christo picked us up at our hotel in Stellenbosh and put our fears at ease straight away. Our first winery was the Warwick winery. Myself and Daniel did not know what to order so Christo helped us decide. He was brilliant, he took photos of us and the wines which was very handy. We drink more red than white and Christo ensured that we only got red wine. We went to one more winery before lunch. We had our lunch in a fabulous restaurant. We went to another two wineries after lunch. While we were driving to the wineries Christo was a fountain of knowledge, telling us all about his fabulous country. I would 100% recommend doing a private tour especially if you are lucky enough to get a brilliant tour guide like Christo. Other than our safari adventure, this was our favourite activity we did in South Africa!

5.00Our hotel arranged for a private tour guide to take us on a full day tour of the wineries. Victor was our driver and he was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable about the different areas -Stellenbosch vs Franschhoek as well as the details of how the wine is made, how it compares to other regions, etc. Every place we visited knew him by name as soon as we walked in! He was also very friendly and just a great person to chat with all day while driving around the beautiful region and visiting various wine estates. I would definitely recommend using Victor if you would like a private driver!!
