Pingvellir National Park
Our first stop takes us to Thingvellir National Park where the oldest parliament was founded in the world over 1000 years ago. Many crucial events in Icelandic history took part here and it is also on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Here you will also see how the earth is ever so slowly pulling apart along the North-America and Eurasian tectonic plates.

Next, we will visit the Geysir geothermal area in Haukadalur where you can see geysers, hot springs, steam vents and eerie blue algae. Although the Great Geysir is relatively dormant, Strokkur, also being one of the largest and most powerful geysers and erupts almost every 5 minutes.

5.00Great day! Excellent guide and so many interesting places and breathtaking sights! The best with a private tour was that we could decide for how long every stop would be and we had so many laughs in the car. It all felt safe and comfy.
