Leave the crowds and fixed routes behind - this is Northern Lights hunting without kilometer limits. On this private 4x4 tour, your local Finnish guide chases clear skies and real-time aurora forecasts with one mission: to get you under the Northern Lights. With no kilometer limits, we'll go as far as we have to.
You'll ride in a comfort of warm off-road vehicle built for Lapland's toughest conditions. We'll be stopping at scenic spots along the way to make sure we don't miss anything.
And we believe in fairness - if the aurora doesn't appear, you'll receive 30% refund, no questions asked. That is our Aurora Guarantee. Last season we had over 90% success rate on our tours, so we are confident in giving this promise.

5.00Lauri was awesome! He contacted us earlier in the day to make adjustments to our planned excursion so that we could have a better chance at seeing the northern lights. There was a very low chance at seeing the northern lights but he said it might be possible if we drive 2 hours away. My family and I had already been in Finland for the last 5 days and did not see any northern lights so we figured we would take the chance. The drive was long but decently comfortable and he allowed one pit stop in case we had to use the bathroom. We got to a lake and waited for a few minutes and suddenly the lights appeared! We got so lucky and Lauri was great at taking photos for us. Definitely recommend going with Lauri on this experience as he is very nice and knowledgeable. So happy we go to finally see northern lights before leaving Finland. He also sent us very nice pictures a few days later :)

5.00We had the most incredible experience with Lauri and his 4x4 on a Northern Lights tour! Lauri took my family and me out of town into the stunning Finnish countryside, using an activity app to guide us to the perfect spots for viewing the Aurora Borealis. We stopped at a couple of location to experience the lights, with amazing views of the night sky and the Northern Lights with zero light pollution. The ribbons of light across the sky were breathtaking. As if this wasn't amazing enough, just as we thought it was time to head back, the activity picked up again. Lauri expertly navigated us to a spot where we witnessed the curtains of Northern Lights dancing, truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Lauri was fantastic – knowledgeable, friendly, and a great guide. If you're looking for a truly unforgettable experience, don’t hesitate to book this tour. You won’t be disappointed!

5.00Our guide Lauri was wonderful and gave us all an unforgettable night. I was in Levi with my wife and two daughters and Lauri drove us to the banks of a frozen river. We left the van and ventured on the frozen surface where we had the entire sky for us. The night was cold but perfect and we saw some amazing auroras. Lauri took may beautiful pictures and we could not have been any happier. We would do it again in a heartbeat.

5.00Dont even bother booking anywhere else.Even though it was snowing and very cloudy and chances were almost zero to see Northern Lights We decided to still go for the experience of the artic.Ended up having a great chat to Lauri and even driving 100km outside Levi and barbequing sausages in a T Pee tent next to a frozen river with a wood fire inside .No Nothern lights but entertaining and he even sent co ordinates next night for us to walk to and see the Northern Lights

5.00This is a must-do experience while visiting Levi. Lauri drove us about an hour away to the border of a national park where there’s no light pollution. There was a Kota, warming hut, where he lit a fire to keep us warm, provided marshmallows for the kids to roast and tea for the adults. We stood in the middle of a lake and watched for the lights on several occasions throughout our experience. Lauri was very knowledgeable, great with the kids and a lot of fun. It was a highlight of our trip

5.00We booked the private Northern lights tour for our family which was excellent! Our guide Lauri checked the weather forecasts and aurora activity to drive us to a location which would give us the best opportunity to see the lights. We had a while to wait but the kids had fun helping Lauri make a camp fire and cooking sausages & marshmallows. This would have been a fantastic experience in itself however our patience was finally rewarded and we were lucky enough to see the northern lights. Whilst driving back to our apartment Lauri kept a check for any further activity and found a second place to stop to see the lights again. Lauri spent over 6hrs with us and we were not hurried even when the activity forecasts did not look good. It was such a memorable evening - I’d definitely recommend booking.

5.00If you are serious about seeing the northern lights, this private tour is definitely the way to go! Our guide Lauri did everything possible to find the lights for us, including driving to Sweden to get the best chance. We unfortunately went when the activity level was low, the clouds were blanketing Levi and the moon was at half show which didn’t make for the best conditions. Lauri drove out of the cloud covered area, in driving snow, to get us into clear skies and after a while waiting, the lights appeared. He used many different data sets to develop a personal plan and took us wherever he needed to go to find the lights for us. This was different from the other tours that just seem to go to predetermined spots. We took several other tours while in Levi and none of them even remotely compared to this private tour. If we had not taken this tour, there is no way we would have seen the lights as brilliantly as we did. After listening to some of the things we were interested in doing on our trip, he also set up an arctic polar plunge/spa trip for us which allowed us to check off a bucket list item. Take my word for it, this tour is worth every penny.

5.00Even though aurora that day was quite weak we managed to catch it. Overall experience was a great adventure with some off-road driving, fire camp in the middle of nowhere under the stars. Beautiful scenery!

5.00I proposed during our private northern lights tour and Lauri could not have been a better guide and host for such an important moment. We had great visibility of the Northern Lights and Lauri helped me organize the surprise and get some incredible photos. If you are coming to Levi to see the Northern Lights do not look further, go with Lazy Santa.
