This private tour is perfect for those who want to make the most of their 4 hours experiencing the charm of Hakone.
The tour's greatest strength is its flexibility. Considering the season, weather, and your preferences, our experienced guide will create a customized itinerary for you during a briefing at your pick-up point. For example, if you wish to see Hakone's breathtaking views from various angles, you can choose a plan including Lake Ashi, the Hakone Ropeway, and Owakudani. If you are interested in exploring power spots, you can choose a plan that includes Hakone Shrine. For those who enjoy a good drink, a plan visiting Hakone's wineries or craft breweries is available.
Due to time constraints, we will visit recommended spots, but depending on your pick-up location, we may not be able to visit all your desired locations. Typically, we visit 3-4 locations.

Hakone Shrine
Hakone Shrine: Hakone Shrine, situated on the shores of Lake Ashi, is a historically significant shrine known for its sacred atmosphere. The beautiful shrine buildings, harmoniously integrated with the surrounding nature, and the iconic vermillion torii gate seemingly floating on the lake's surface, captivate visitors. The reflection of the torii gate and Mount Fuji in the lake creates a breathtaking view. It is also a popular power spot, attracting many worshippers. From the shrine grounds, you can enjoy stunning views of Lake Ashi and, on a clear day, Mount Fuji. Admission fee: Free
Owakudani
Owakudani: Owakudani, accessible via the Hakone Ropeway, is an active volcanic valley still emitting steam. The strong smell of sulfur and the unique landscape offer a truly otherworldly experience. The black eggs, a local specialty, are said to add seven years to your life if you eat one. Geothermal hot springs also abound, providing a unique opportunity to experience the area's volcanic activity. The surrounding area offers numerous onsen (hot springs), foot baths, and souvenir shops. Admission fee: Ropeway fee separate

5.00This is a good tour to get an overview of Hakone area of you don’t have time for a day trip . Sunny tours is great . Our guide was late but sunny kept me informed and the guide was excellent and made up with extra time we lost . Overall an excellent experience and thanks to our guide

5.00Naoki was by far the best tour guide we had during our time in Japan. He was amazingly flexible and willing to customize the tour around what my husband and I were most interested in doing on the tour. He also wove in other smaller experiences - like walking a section of the Old Tokaido road - that have become some of our best memories. Beyond that, he was a fascinating person who was a pleasure to spend several hours with. I can't say enough good things about this company, and this guide in particular.

5.00We booked with Sunny at the last minute after some problems with our travel agency left us realizing we were in a difficult spot. We are so grateful that Sunny turned what could have been a difficult situation into a wonderful day together as a family. We are a group of two adults and three teenagers and he immediately knew exactly where to take us and what would work well for us. Even with the rain and bad weather, he was prepared with umbrellas and a plan to make the most of our time together. Highly recommend, five stars!

5.00Tour of Hakone – June 26, 2025 with Kumi We had a wonderful tour of Hakone with Kumi on June 26, 2025. She guided us to a number of interesting and scenic sites, all while engaging us with pleasant and informative conversation. When we encountered a traffic backup, Kumi responded with calm efficiency and adjusted our route to make the most of our time—an excellent strategic decision that truly enhanced our experience. She concluded the tour by dropping us off at the Hakone Open Air Museum, giving us time to explore it at our own pace. From there, we were able to conveniently continue on to Tokyo.
