• Pleasant tour with shortcomings

  Interesting city. Exploring in our small group of 6 people. Driver speaks English, very friendly, audio guide consists, however, only in playing through his mobile phone to 3 sights . Great clean car. The drinks included in the tour according to the description were unfortunately not available, then bought us something ourselves. The mosque cannot be visited inside, only by Muslims- we found it a shame, because that was actually our greatest wish.

  Driver was late. We called and he showed up 30 minutes later- over an hour after the time they said. He did not tell us anything about the city as we were driving and was on his phone most of the time. Car was littered with empty and half drunk water bottles. We ended the tour early just to get away as our daughters were scared. He didn’t give any insight or information AT ALL.

  This tour was very good and interesting. Mazen provided a lot of insight into not only what we were seeing but also some context for Omani culture. It was also quite flexible to focus more on things of interest and skip things that were less so. We had a great time. We were not happy, however, with Trip Advisor. We booked this trip for two days earlier and were not told the Opera House and the Grand Mosque were not open on Fridays. The tour operator was helpful in moving it to Sunday - our last available day in Oman. Trip Advisor and its partners need to pay closer attention to calendars when providing "Availability" on their website.

  Our guide and driver Mazin showed us the highlights of the city. First the beautiful Sultan Qaboos Mosque, then the Opera House and the beach before we walked through the Mutrah Souk. We also visited Mutrah Fort and the palace. Everything at our individual pace. We skipped the museums 😎 Highly recommended.

  We had an amazing city tour with Oman Tour in Muscat! Our guide (Ahmed) was fantastic—super knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about Omani culture, making every stop feel special. From the breathtaking Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque to exploring the bustling Mutrah Souq, each moment was timed perfectly, allowing us to truly experience the city without feeling rushed. The attention to detail, like the comfortable vehicle and cool refreshments, made all the difference.   This trip was perfect for a short yet insightful discovery of the city. Very convenient, picked up from and to the airport. Ahmed my guide, was very helpful and easy going. Very helpful either by explaining and or asking help from people in charge of the place of interest. Even took me to a local food place to grab an authentic, where locals eat, delicious and affordable place. Highly recommended 101 %. One can also book a tour straight from the company. Communication with the company too was fast and efficient even I booked literally just hours before the trip.

  Lovely trip where we saw many sights in Muscat. The view was beautiful over the city from “fortress”. The basar Muttrah Souk was exciting to explore. The opera house and the sultan's palace were beautiful and definitely worth a visit.

  A wonderful day trip to Muscat's famous monuments and places. Our guide picked us up at our hotel and showed us around, informing us on Omani culture and history.
