On our Secret Food Tour: Hanoi, you'll sample many local dishes from little pancakes, grilled pork, fresh papaya salads with beef, to a big bowl of Noodle soup. We'll wash everything down with a sip of Vietnamese coffee and refreshing juice you'll never forget.
You'll explore our culinary world and experience local life, till reaching the lake located at the heart of our capital, and seeing some old houses where you'll broaden your horizons. And, don’t forget our Secret Dish as well!
As a private tour, everything works around you! Our start times are much more easy going, dates can open up. It's a much more intimate and cozy experience. No need to shout over other tourists, you will have every question answered, and leave feeling like a native yourself!

5.00The Secret Food Tour is a good introduction to the local food in Hanoi. Though the price of the tour was a little steep for the types of food we were brought to try, the experience was all worth while because of the guide, Alex, who was not just keen to share his knowledge of his country, culture and food of course, he was very attentive and always concerned about what we could or could not eat or if the walk or the pace was comfortable for us. He was so thoughtful that he brought and offered tissue paper and wet wipes when he saw that we were reaching our bags for them; and he even pulled out a trash bag from his pocket so that we didn't had to hold on to our trash .... how thoughtful is that !!! As for suggestion, the last stop could have been a nicer dish, especially the secret dish. The wedding "cake" was more of a "secret", a more interesting surprise ! Regardless, thanks so much Alex, (and to Natalie and Michael) for making our Secret Food Touch such an enjoyable one; it's the company that made the difference ... cheers and All the Best to you guys !! 🤗🤗

5.00Amazing evening of wandering through the Old Quarter and trying many new dishes in various restaurants. The variety and quality of food was exceptional - make sure you come hungry! Our host Cheese was really welcoming and knowledgeable, and she certainly added to the experience. Highly recommend

We had so much fun together and she was a brilliant guide to Hanoi’s authentic cuisine. Not only is she very knowledgeable of Vietnam’s history, but such a lovely person. A true professional and a great friend to take us around. Five stars all around. Thank you Cheese!

5.00We arrived at the meeting place, unsure of what to expect, but then Tommy arrived to greet us with a smile and a bottle of water each to start us on our way! We made the mistake of eating breakfast, what a day and SO much food! We steadily made our way around to venues, all the while being educated about history and culture. Tommy answered all of our questions and encouraged us to ask as much as we wanted, which was great! All of the food was amazing but too much - although we all had room for dessert and surprisingly everyone finished that! Would 10/10 recommend booking this tour and ask for Tommy 👌👌

5.00A friend had been on the tour with Jenny the day before and recommended her. We were very glad they did! Jenny’s English was excellent and she has a lovely personality. She met us at our hotel and gave us the option of a taxi but we chose to walk. We had 7 courses all at different street cafes and each course was delicious. It was lovely to feel that you were eating real Vietnamese food and not just the food that was prepared in restaurants geared to western tourists.. We did a private tour ($78) with Jenny and it wasn’t expensive, but I think you can join a group as well. Delighted we did such a lovely and tasty tour with her

5.00Jenny was INCREDIBLE! She was the perfect hostess and tour guide for us during our very first day in Vietnam. It was like following a friend who was showing us her hometown with enthusiasm and pride. Jenny was very attentive, knowledgeable, experienced, and excited to share with us the best dishes and most trustworthy places to eat in Hanoi. Every one of her choices were exquisite and so fresh, and left us wanting to go back to have more. Jenny was fun, youthful, and spontaneous, and made our 4-hour trip an unforgettable experience. Jenny also sent us excellent recommendations for food and shopping as well! So grateful!
