  We had the most incredible experience with our tour guide Lalu at Jaisalmer Fort. From the very beginning, his tour felt so personal, warm, and full of love, not rushed or scripted at all. Lalu didn’t just show us the fort, he truly shared his world with us. He guided us through the history and hidden corners of Jaisalmer Fort with so much enthusiasm and passion, and one of the most special moments was when he showed us his own home inside the fort, which made the experience feel incredibly authentic and meaningful. He also took us to an amazing café, recommended fantastic places to eat, and led us to a quiet, peaceful spot to watch the sunset over the fort, a moment we’ll never forget. We ended up spending the entire day with him, and the price was well worth the money for how much time, care, and effort he gave us. It was clear that Lalu does this not just as a job, but because he genuinely loves sharing his culture and city with people. If you’re visiting Jaisalmer, do not miss the chance to tour with Lalu. He turned our visit into a truly unforgettable experience, and we couldn’t recommend him more highly.

  Mr Lalit( Lalu) is well read and tells you the history in an interesting way. Walking you through the fort, it’s interesting lanes, architecture and the residents.. He is transparent and reasonable in financial matters . And ever willing to help you during your stay at Jaisalmer. It will be a good idea to contact him well before and plan your entire stay itinerary with his help

  Our time in Jaisalmer was truly memorable having Lallu as our tour guide. Lallu met us at our hotel and provided us with an in depth and informative history on Jaisalmer - it was immediately clear to us that he is passionate about history and has a strong sense of pride in sharing his beautiful hometown with others. The 2 Jain temples that Lallu took us to within the fort left us awestruck and the walk that we took through the fort felt very authentic. We ended our tour of the fort at a charming rooftop cafe and shared a wonderful conversation with Lallu interspersed with his humor and lighthearted nature. Overall, Lallu made us feel very comfortable as if he was giving a tour to his own relatives from out of town. We learned so much about the history of Jaisalmer, the fort, and its inhabitants that will stick with us for years to come. Thank you once again Lallu, we highly recommend to all!

  Amazing. Superb. Knowedgable. Friendly. Honest. Flexible. A local living in fort. Knows everyone. Cannotvrecommend highly enough. Jaisalmere is the only living fort in India. Lallu's family has livedvtheir for generations. People greet and pay their respects as he guides you through. His knowledge is deep but explains the rich history in a digestable way. He will take you off the beaten track to some quaint spots that other guides cannot. You walk past his home in the fort and he introduces you to his family. His English and German, impeccable. This is someone who can bring the c fort and its evolution to life. This is the ONLY guide to use in Jaisalmere. Thank you Lallu. Our teenage kids and my wife and I are grateful to have learnt from you.

  I went to Jaiselmair with my husband and laye teenage children. Lalu was a friendly, knowledgeable guide that really engaged us all. We loved that he actually lived in the fort and could take us to the quieter corners of the bustling area and chat to us not only about history, but his own personal experiences too. We alo loved the quaint cafes and sunset spots he took us too. Highly recommend!!!

  First of all Lalu was very flexible. Our plane was delayed and he accommodated a later start. When we did start, he suggested splitting the tour over two days to maximize the light and minimize the crowds. We took him up on the offer and are thankful we did. He guided us through the city and fort telling us stories of the past and relating it to the architecture around us. He is clearly passionate about Jaisalmer and its people and provided a wonderful tour to our whole family. I would highly recommend him to anyone visiting Jaisalmer and interested in learning the history and exploring the alleys.

  Lalit ji took us around Jaisalmer Fort and the Havelis nearby and it was the highlight of our holiday. His knowledge of the city and passion for its history were infectious. But more importantly, he was incredible kind to my father. He has trouble walking long distances but managed to visit the fort thanks to Lalit Ji’s optimism and expert motorbike skills. I’m so thankful to him for making it happen. Strongly recommend spending some time walking around Jaisalmer with him.

  Lalu was a terrific guide! A kind and enthusiastic guy that my friend and I found funny and entertaining. He talks about architecture like a kid in a candy store! He took us through the fort and Jain temple and provided a ton of information. I appreciate his flexibility with schedule as we were a little slow moving due to jet lag. He picked up on our loss of energy and adjusted. He took us to a couple very tasty and affordable restaurants with good clean cooking practices. If you’re a solo woman traveller I’d recommend Lalu! He’s overall a trustworthy and genuine guy.
