Get a taste of REAL Jamaican food prepared by everyday Jamaicans, eat like a local.

Option #1. Kickstart your day with a traditional Jamaican breakfast, try brownstew or curry chicken, boiled dumplings, yam & callaloo. After this delicious start, we’ll make our way to the patty shop to sample beef patty, chicken patty & coco bread. Next stop, discover Jamaica’s rich tropical fruit variety; sugar cane, coconut & pineapple. Lastly, we’ll visit a local coffee shop to experience Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee.

Option #2. Begin your lunch food tour with a stop at a traditional restaurant to enjoy classic Jamaican dishes such as oxtail (subject to availability), brownstew pork, beef stew or curried goat served with a side of rice and peas and stemmed veges. Next stop is the patty shop to sample beef patty, cheesy beef patty or chicken patty. Finish at a renowned eatery where you'll savor juicy jerk chicken, marinated in a blend of island spices and slow-cooked over pimento wood.

As part of our foodie tour, we make our way through the bustling center of downtown Montego Bay City. Sam Sharpe Square, now a busy town center for locals, gives a historical snapshot of Montego Bay during the 1800's.

This was a great experience. Mama G is the best. All of the restaurants were great. She was knowledgeable about the area and a safe driver. My first time with 2 of the foods including the pig tale (which was excellent). And possibly the best chicken I've ever had.

Das was amazing, and the foodie tour was more than we expected. He shared the history of Jamaica and pointed out landmarks as we drove, which made the experience even richer. Five stars for Das—two thumbs up! He took us to four incredible food spots and was kind enough to stop at KFC because everyone said we had to try it, making it five stops total. He took pictures of us and explained everything we were eating, which added a personal touch. Das was also an excellent driver—he had cold water in the car, great air conditioning, and was super friendly and easy to talk to. We’ll definitely be recommending him to all our friends and family visiting Jamaica. It’s the perfect way to get authentic food off the resort while enjoying a tour at the same time. The foodie tour exceeded my expectations—come hungry, because you’ll be full and ready for a nap on the way back!

⸻ I had such a great time on the Montego Bay food tour with Das! Pickup was seamless, communication was excellent, and he was super chill and genuinely kind. Every stop he introduced us to was delicious though I won’t spoil the surprises, because half the fun is not knowing what’s coming next. I definitely wish I had booked more tours with him. I always try to do a food tour wherever I travel, but Jamaica can be tricky since you’re already served so much food at resorts. That’s why Das’s knowledge of local dishes, along with his advice on what’s a must try and what to skip, made the experience extra valuable.

Mama G arrived a little before scheduled time and she greeted us as if we are family . She gave us a little history tour of the island , tasted her favorite fruit , and shared lots of laughs . She took us to 3 foodie places , and we didn’t have to worry about what she would get for us . Right down to the drink she didn’t ask nor did we care it was perfect ! When you do this foodie tour book with Mama G ! !!!! You won’t regret it ❤️ Thank you for a wonderful day !!!!! Until next time … one love

Not only will you leave this tour with a full belly and leftovers but you’ll also learn about the island on your way to eat. Das was incredible! Got us yummy quenepas on our drive, took amazing photos/videos and gave us recommendations for other great tours. Definitely book this tour!

Das was the best tour guide ever!!! He was so friendly and took us to about 4 different places that were so delicious; we couldn’t even finish!! He even took pictures and videos of us and sent them to us at the end of the tour. While driving around he gave us history facts about Jamaica that was very nice to know. Highly recommend 10 /10 experience.

Service that Das provided was amazing! Left a much more detailed review on Viator but I would highly recommend as my wife and I will definitely be calling Das when we return in the future to explore other parts of the island together!

Das was extremely friendly and knowledgeable from pick up to drop off. Great stops for food such as classic patties and Jamaican breakfast. Also took awesome pictures and stopped for Guineps upon request. Will definitely book him for future tours when visiting Jamaica. Thank you again!

Das was incredible to us. I traveled to Jamaica alone with my daughter to celebrate her 17th birthday. I wanted us to get a real feel for the local culture, beyond the resort. The conversation with Das was great during the ride, and we learned so much. He made sure we were well taken care of as we experienced great food and sights, some well known, and others more local. We were definitely a little full from all the great food. He saw my daughter was tired on the way back to the resort, and let her know how to lean the seat back in the van to nap off her food coma. I highly recommend this tour.
