Pick up 08.30 a.m. You will depart from hotel & you will be met by our guide and you will proceed to the Desert. You will make a further stop at Al Mudayrib and Ibra to view the watch towers which proudly overlook the villages.
Wadi Bani Khalid
Your next stop will be Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman’s most beautiful wadis. The wadi has clear deep blue water and counts among the few wadis of Oman that hold water all year round. From the mountain springs, the water is led to the oasis where it sustains the typical date palms.
Wahiba Sands
Next you will travel to Wahiba Sands which is famous for its multicolored sand which varies from black to honey-golden and even to white. In the heart of the golden sands of Sharqiyah Desert nestled amongst stunning and ever changing patterns of dunes, is the Arabian Oryx Camp. The camp offers a luxurious Bedouin style air conditioned accommodation and a variety of complimentary toiletries. The location of the camp in the wilderness of the desert, emphasizes the beauty of the golden sand dunes surrounding it. You will be made to feel welcome with warmth and kindness of the Omani Hospitality.. After an adrenaline fueled 4WD safari across 150-metre dunes and with a spectacular view of the sunset, you will be ready to experience the delicious Arabic Cuisine, splendor and live entertainment the camp has to offer. Whilst you sit around a camp fire under the starry sky, you will be able to look back over your day and appreciate the once in a life time experience.

After breakfast at the camp, you will depart on an exciting 4wd journey towards the Sur city.
Wadi Shab
Your next stop will be Wadi Shab (Wadi meaning valley between cliffs). Upon arrival at Wadi Shab you will transfer to a small fishing boat to be taken across the wadi to enable you to start your journey. The word breathtaking hardly does it justice. You will walk through the amazing canyon, until you arrive at the wadi which leads to the Keyhole. Here you can relax; take a dip in the pools. You will have the opportunity to swim through a pool of crystal clear water and dive through a narrow keyhole, inside you will find a magnificent cave, complete with an incredible waterfall. Recommendations : Walking shoes or trainers, definitely not flip flops as the terrain is undulating.
Bimmah Sinkhole
After enjoying walking and swimming, your next stop will be bimmah sink hole. After travelling just a few kilometers you will find yourselves absorbed in an almost lunar world where unreal mountains dominate the view. Once you refreshed, you will start your journey towards Muscat & end the Tour.

5.00This was an outstanding 2-day tour from start to finish, from the smooth organisation and clear communication by Abhishek to the experience itself with our guide, Juma, who went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. Juma began the trip by stopping in his hometown and introducing us to Omani culture and hospitality. Every site we visited was incredible, but our highlights were swimming in Wadi Shab and enjoying the sunset in the desert. We’d highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to experience the best of Oman’s natural beauty and landscapes.

5.00Our tour was great! We had an uniqze experinece with put guide Badar. He was so helpful and respected our wishes and our interests. He made our trip a unforgetful experience! We absolutely loved Wadi Ben Kahlid and to watch the sunset in the desert. We would definitely do the tour again!

5.00If you're coming to Oman and you're looking for a good local tour operator then AFAQ is the one. Very professional organisation that provides individual packages. My wife and I travelled with our guide and driver Saif, who was absolutely excellent. He was always keen to assist us at all times and to provide us with a memorable experience.

2.00We stayed as part of a round trip through northern Oman also for one night at the desert camp "Wahiba Sands". The camp consists of several fixed tents and some simpler houses. We already had a better category, yet I would not speak of a luxurious tent. The camp itself is relatively large, which you noticed especially at dinner, as it was not easy to get a place and there were also many larger groups there. There's a simple buffet. But what particularly bothered us was the "evening program", which began with a troupe of bagpipers and continued with a belly dancer, among others, accompanied by piercing, gleaming, colored spotlights in disco style. We were looking forward to a relaxed, silent desert night with a fascinating starry sky and felt completely out of place. Luckily we only booked one night. So if you are looking for the silence of the desert, you should better visit another, smaller camp.

5.00An intense two-day trip, filled with amazing landscapes, stunning nature, vivid colours and unforgettable moments. The turquoise wadis amongst steep mountains and rocks are a unique experience that will take your breath away. The sunset in the desert was made of pure gold and silence. Our guide Mohammed has been a special leader, host and driver, very kind and keen on sharing the treasures and hospitality of his land.

5.00This was our first time in Oman a group of 7 family and friends from ages 16-78 years-old. All of us were amazed by the beauty of Oman and the friendliness of the Omanian people. The country is truly amazing and our guide Badar was the best. He is an excellent guide who is very experienced, he takes care of you, so you can relax ad enjoy your stay here. 5.00Abhishek was very responsive and helpful in sorting out the itinerary for me at short notice. Salim, my guide and driver, was knowledgeable and an interesting person to spend two days with. He was also a very safe driver! The trip involved visiting Nizwa Fort and Souq, watching the sun set in the desert, and a swim in a wadi. Three very contrasting, wonderful experiences. I’m hoping to visit Oman again, and will definitely use Afaq Travel & Tourism again.
