Spain is renowned for its wide array of tapas delicacies, combining fresh and seasonal products with Mediterranean flair. So why not add a twist to your trip and learn how to make typical Spanish cuisine yourself with Just Royal cooking workshop.
From kitchen novices to cooking enthusiasts, those of all skills will take pleasure in learning how to cook Just Royal BCN’s traditional menu of Spanish omelette, seafood paella and a regional favorite, ‘crema catalana’.
Not to mention, the workshop is heavily assisted by an endless flow of wine, making both cooking and dining even more enjoyable.
Tasting Menu:Seafood paella/Spanish omelette/Potatoes “Bravas”/Traditional croquettes/Assorted Iberian cold cuts/Manchego cheese/Cantabrian anchovies/Octopus “feira”/Catalan cream/ etc.
Drinks: wine, beer and refreshments.

For private groups of two to twenty two participants. We are located in a beautiful century-old building in the spectacular Plaça Reial, in the center of Barcelona, next to Las Ramblas. All carefully prepared to perfection, the sampling menu consists of a spectacular array of ten “Tapas”, originating from various cities within Spain. The chef will explain the history of Spanish cuisine through these “Tapas”. You will also prepare the Sangria. After that we will be ready to start the cooking class. The cooking workshop is designed so that each participant is involved in the experience, the chef and his assistant will participate with them by giving some instructions in the cooking process. For example, one Paella is cooked for every 2-3 participants. Once everything is ready, it will be served on an Imperial table. As a menu we will cook Seafood Paella, Spanish Omelet and Crema Catalana for dessert. Once everything is ready, it will be served on an Imperial table. Includes drinks throughout the activity, in the Tapas, in the cooking class and in the Menu. Also this activity can be booked for lunchtime. In this case, a tour of La Boqueria market is included.

5.00Went with a teen tour group. Our instructor Claudia was on time, patient with the teens, and so darn charismatic! The teens have been RAVING about her! Absolutely worth taking a group to a cooking class. Lovely atmosphere too.

5.00This experience was amazing. Our hosts, James and Alfredo were warm and welcoming. The tour of the market with James was very informative. He told us where to get the best deals on ham, candy and spices. One of the neat things about the tour was being able to go inside one if the old buildings off of the Rambla. Don't be put off by the entrance and stairs. You arrive at the top at a beautiful apartment with a view of the plaza. The class with Alfredo was very hands on. He had us chopping and stirring. The Catalon creme was particularly good. The paella was also very tasty but so rich. I would recommend this experience to anyone. So fun!

5.00This was an absolute highlight of our trip! Our chef was so fun, funny and informative. We had a great time as a family cooking and laughing. We have a repertoire of Catalan favorites now to practice at home. We all highly recommend this class.

Chef tailored the class so that the ten of us in our private group each got to participate at the level we wanted (Some are accomplished home cooks and others not as familiar with culinary techniques, and a few who just preferred eating and sipping wine. Chef was very engaging and entertaining, and we all had a MARVELOUS time!!! And the tour of Boqueria was an AMAZING start to the outing!

5.00Our family had the most amazing time and experience at “Just Royal BCN”, first starting off at the markets and learning about the different Spanish food and treats and their origins, to cooking the most authentic paella from Chef Alfredo! Every minute was a pleasure. Would highly recommend this experience, it was absolutely the highlight of our trip !
