Paklenica National Park
The local licensed tour guide will meet you at the starting point. After boarding the van, the drive to Paklenica National Park is 45 minutes long. Your driver will be your guide as well. After arriving at the park entrance, the travelers will procure the tickets and the van will be parked at the park's entrance parking lot. From that point on, we will start our hiking towards the Lugarnica mountain hut. It takes about 2 hours to get to Lugarnica. There we can enjoy drinks and coffee, and after that advance to Vidikovac (viewpoint) above the mountain hut. It takes about 45 minutes to get to view point and the ascend is a bit steeper so if requested, it can be excluded from the trip. But for the ambitious hikers, climbing this trail is a pure pleasure. After the optional ascend to the viewpoint, the decline can start. On the way, we can make as many brakes as reasonably needed. Please be aware to take your water and sandwiches, hat, and skincare to enjoy the hiking without regrets.

5.00Fantastic day on this tour. If you enjoy hiking this tour is perfect. Jure is very knowledgeable and helpful. He gave a lot of advice, history and background information. All his recommendations were spot on. He picked us up from our hotel in Zadar, taking us to the NP. Then we did the first part of the walk to the hut where we could get a drink and bean soup - highly recommended. Then we agreed to do the next part of the walk taking us to a viewpoint which was breathtaking. We highly recommend Jure and this tour.

5.00My husband and I organized a guided hike in the mountains outside of Zadar with Jure. He is a fantastic guide, a wealth of knowledge on all things Croatian and more, and we had a really great day with him! He has extensive knowledge of history and also guides teenagers/education groups and I have no hesitation in recommending him for any tours in the Zadar region- be it city tours, waterfall, parks etc. Thank you Jure for a great day in the mountains!

5.00Jure was an absolute pleasure as a hiking guide. 1. Transportation. Easy transport to and from the park via a nice van, directly from our hotel. 2. Hiking. The park was beautiful and the weather in mid-June cooperated and it wasn’t too hot. The hike was about 1:45 each way, a simple out and back on well maintained trails (either stone or gravel the whole way). We turned around at a hut after a good Turkish coffee (stew was also available). Not too crowded. I would have loved to gone further and gotten closer to the ridge line but time was limited. 3. Guide. Jure was great. Very well informed and smart young man. He gave us a comprehensive history lesson on Zadar specifically and Croatia generally during the trip/hike and we talked about all sorts of things.
