The landscape of Lake Yacumama is wonderful, we ride in a boat led by a guide, on the tour of the lake we observe the lotus flower, aguaje trees, various birds and provide us rods to catch piranhas. We saw two alligators. It is worth taking this tour, it is close to Puerto Maldonado.

It was an amazing experience in a beautiful place and our guide Mario was great even though we were not very good at fishing.

We loved it. Lake Yacumama is spectacular. We have managed to catch piranhas and Frankling guide very friendly and with a great knowledge of fishing and Peru

Spectacular beautiful place to see animals and on birds like red-bellied macaws, white herons, also reptiles like black alligators you can also observe a beautiful sunset with the lake vegetation growing everywhere, highly recommended if you do not have much time available!!!

Francisco was an excellent and kind guide, even though he doesn’t speak much English at the moment. He caught a small yellow piranha and rowed me round the very unusual lake with many trees in it. He picked me up from the hotel and took me to the lake in a tuctuc.

The sunset was wonderful the very friendly Guide, we caught a plain first, then the little piranhas was a very fun afternoon, recommended.

after several tiring day long trips with groups i wanted a break and relax and this was perfect . stunningly beautiful lake all to ourselves, se saw caiman up close and lots of birds up close and caught several piranhas (not easy to catch). best part was just chilling amidst the jurassic park beauty and sounds. if you can get Franklin as your guide get him as he was knowledgeable and patient.. tip: take a cushion or jacket to sit on and it was hit and sunny so cover up. 3 hr time went by fast.
