• Memorable visit to Port Moresby

  Daniel Wakra and his son Augustin met us promptly at the dock in March 2026. My wife and I then had a very enjoyable day touring around various sites in Port Moresby with Agustin and a good driver assisting us. As I had spent many years in my youth in this city long ago, Augustin patiently accompanied us as we visited several places important in my memories, e.g.: my old school at Boroko; the St Marys Cathedral in the CBD; Bomana War Cemetery; we drove inland up into the foothills of the mountains to Rouna Waterfall; we bought good New Guinea coffee at Vision City Mega Mall. We passed by many notable, modern sights: Ela Beach foreshore, APEC Haus, Sir Hubert Murray Stadium, the National Parliament Building, Koki Fish Market, etc. My wife had earlier felt very nervous about visiting Port Moresby, but we always felt safe and relaxed throughout the whole experience. Thanks to Daniel and Augustin, and our driver, we had a great day in Port Moresby.

  Great introduction to Port Moresby. Our guide Samson (1) and our driver Samson (2) were excellent. We not only saw historical places relevant to PNG, but also how locals live by going to a settlement. Samson 1 was very knowledgeable and told us a lot about the city’s history along with being very personable. A great option for a day in Port Moresby

  Daniel and his cousin were the most lovely tour guides I ever encountered! Traveling 12 years solo, I can tell they are exceptional! They made me feel incredibly safe. I particularly appreciated Daniel’s passion for Papua New Guinea and Port Moresby. You’ll definitely experience local culture and wild life with them. 1000% recommended.

  Did a wonderful excursion to see the Variata National Park about an hour and a half from Park Moresby (with multiple stops). Stunning landscapes, beautiful birds that Daniel unfailingly spots, dream-like cloud formations. And also just excellent company: Daniel is a lovely man. Knowledgeable, kind, curious, and enjoys sharing his love for the forest and his country. He picked us up in his jeep early in the morning, the price for two was 350 USD if memory serves me well for a full day; in PNG, that is fair. In terms of safety, don't think there is a panic button in Daniel's jeep, but he is well-known by the ranger and everyone else too, and that's probably the best insurance you can get short of going with a full-throttle security detail.

  We had a day to visit the Port Moresby environment, Difficult to find a guide here and yet we chatted on WhatsApp with Daniel Wraka and everything went as planned. The guide driver picked us up at the port and took us on a private tour of all the places in the area, the villages on stilts, markets, beaches, etc. Price a little expensive, but there is not too much choice. Visiting alone is not possible. Thanks.

  Journey around Port Moresby,PNG - I am proud to say. I had a wonderful tour around the city with very knowledgeable guide Daniel Wakra . I was very worried to come out of airport once landed in PNG .felt uncomfortable, unsafe. 1st day I stayed inside the hotel without coming out of hotel . 2nd day I came out to meet tour guide Daniel . He was great guy and explained me all about the country and build up my trust and get rid of my fear to travel . Morning ,We had a fantastic time together in a local market , bird sanctuary. Orchid garden seeing native Birds, flowers and Tree kangaroos and also we met amazing Srilankan family with two kids and had a great time in the adventure park . Then we went to Bomana military war Cemetery and I add a little video clip to utube for others to get experience. . We had a local lunch on our way back and then visited Parliament house - Papua New Guinea Museum - Ela beach - Hanabadu Village - Koki Fish market and surrounding villages / tribes I really felt safe to travel in the country . I highly recommend Daniel Wakra from New Guinea Natural Tours to others who are visiting Papua New Guinea. Currently this country is safe to travel .   Daniel is a very experienced tour guide and is able to cover a wide range of topics and is able to adjust the tour to your exact needs. In addition to the tour that I booked Daniel took me to many other places in PnG hence i can personally recommend him for all your tour needs in PnG.

  Daniel is a gem of a human. He is experienced, enthusiastic and so proud of his beautiful country. Beyond that, he is wise, culturally astute, and very funny, which led to a fantastic day exploring Moresby's most curious edges. His knowledge of birds is seemingly unparalleled, and he seems to know smiling faces wherever he goes. Trust me, it's worth every kina – and more.
